Hi there,
After a long time, I recently looked at "The Magic of Michael Ammar", which indeed is an excellent book. Anyways, I found a very good description for one handed bottoms, which I've never practiced before. Since I've dealt bottoms using two hands before, I'm hopeful I'll get there somehow but at this point, I'm still having problems... My issue is that once I buckle the bottom card, my thumb has difficulties pushing the top card over to the right. My current way around this is to push the top card over first and then buckle the bottom card. This of course takes longer than doing it simultaneously. What is your technique? Thanks a lot for your help! -Christof

I learned by first bottom deal from Michael, for his effect "Visualy Yours". That is exactly how I did it in the context of the OHBD Force.
The push off of the top card provides cover for the buckle. |

You might try to getting ahold of Glenn Bishop (username: bishthemagish), he does a very good one-handed bottom deal that you may be able to see at his site- www.mrhypnotist.org

Ian Kendall, another member here, also has some work on bottom dealing so perhaps he might be able to help too... see a review of his 'Tops, Seconds and Bottoms' VideoCD here:

Lern the 2 handed bottom deal from Erdnase and you'll quickly see what needs to happen with the left hand action.

Instead of pushing the bottom card with your fingers, loosen it and let gravity do the rest. You don't get the finger flash. It's much more deceptive.
