I would like to perform the card on ceiling, but it seems like a lot of ceilings in industrial buildings (and some cafés, restaurants, bars and shops) nowadays are not solid, thus not suitable.
I don't quite know how they are called, but those ceilings consists of a lot of loose square plates that would be kicked out of position when hit by the deck. Does anyone know a version that would work with that kind of ceiling? |

No, but you may be able to throw the deck against a nearby wall instead of the ceiling (I'd recommend a thumbtack vs. w*x approach--the search function will lead you to discussions on that issue).

If I throw it against a wall, it is much more likely that somebody will take the card off to see what makes it stick. Is that why you recommend the thumbtack approach?

You can still do it on those types of ceilings. You just need to practice. I have done it many times on-what I believe are called suspended ceilings with little to no problem.
Granted the first few times I used too much force and the tile was knocked a little, but it fell back into place. So practice and see if you can do it with out as much force. I think you will be pleasantly surprised. Also look for a vent in the ceiling, that is if you really MUST do the effect, you can stick it on the vent. C |
