We have an unusual gig coming up. We've been engaged to provide strolling magicians at private dinner dances, one in each state of Australia. However the client was insistent that these magicians be good because her guests "have the power".

After a few seconds of silence, I asked for a little more information, she explained that the guests at these functions would all be psychics.

Oh my. This should be a good one.

Talk about a tough crowd. Any kind of card trick where they select something that changes color, or does anything else interesting, the response will be "oh yes, you see I had a feeling about that one."

Are you taking any of these gigs yourself?

Well, I guess 'mind-reading' effects are out; that's old school for them. You might help them on their presentation though! *gigglies*

Chop cup! Is the ball here or there? Oh, it's there? Nope - it's not even here. In fact, it's where it started.

Oh no - SPONGE BALLS - OK, Mr. Psychic - how many balls do you have in YOUR OWN hand?

No Rev, I'll be sharing those gigs around... Smile

I think it will be an easy gig anyway:

MAGICIAN "I'd like you to choose a card, remember it, shuffle it into the deck, now... I'm thinking of your card."

PSYCHIC "Why yes, he is!"

MAGICIAN "Thankyou! For my next trick..."

I'd love to see the crowd reaction to Deep Astonishment II.

I described the Voodoo Doll and Ringflight to the booker. That's what convinced her to book our magicians. I can imagine the discussion after though.

"Did you see how developed his PK is to stand that doll up like that?"
"Oh yes, but I thought he could have teleported that ring to a more interesting location."
