Hello,
I am looking for silver mylar confetti. If you have seen Norbert Ferre's act, where he turns the yellow ball into yellow confetti, that's what I need (but in silver). Instead of a ball, it will be a coin. I recall seeing something that fit my needs, but can't find it anymore. I need a small compact square that will fit in my pocket and can be grabbed easily, but released quickly. Thanks for any help. Ben |

A quick Google search turned up:
http://www.partyconfetti.com/Inventory.cfm?catid=153 (Price is $10.00 for a pound of the stuff.) If that doesn't fit the bill, try another search or make your own. |

In Joshua Jay's 'Talk About TRicks' (Magic Jun '04) Michael Lair discusses preparation of Confetti Packets with bits cut from mylar sheets. I'd like to know a local outlet where I could buy a small quanity. Would the stuff from gift wrapping stores be good?

Yes, the silver mylar sheets at party stores would work great. They use these mylar sheets for covering tables and making them festive for parties. You can read the description of making Confetti Packets in Joshua's column in MAGIC, or in my book Stage Cool, or on my DVD Coins! Cut these sheets into 1/2" squares, and follow the directions for making Confetti Packets from there.
I hope you enjoy them. |

If you have a paper shredder that shreds into confetti empty it and shred the mylar.

Hello everyone,
I found the confetti I needed from a theatre effects company that distibuted confetti for kKbuki confetti cannons. The only thing is that it was worked in with white confetti and I had to seperate like 1000 pices lol. Ben |

Years ago when I ran the Magic, Magic Shop in Orange County we used to go to the local CRAFTS store and buy 1 lb bags of 1/4" Mylar Confetti. We packed it into 1 oz bottles and sold it as Magic Diamond Dust! You might call around to a couple crafts stores and ask if the have the stuff. It takes so little to produce a good effect that even a small amount lasts. A pound of the stuff can cause you to go a little whacked tossing it into the air to see the sparkles. Best,
