Gary,

You can try this:

- Click on Search on the upper right corner
- In the Search by username box, enter Your user name
- Click Begin search

That will list a history of all the forums of your posts.

I hope that helps.

Are you talking about ALL posts or just yours?

If just yours then try this.

Where it reads:
"You are logged in as GarySumpter"
Click on your name.
In the new window click on "(View this user's posts in last 30 days)"
You can see the dates at the far right of the listed posts.

It's even easier than that. That's what the red mugs are about.

Thanks for the feedback.

I do actually mean all posts since last visit.

So when you click the link it lists all posts that you havent looked at since your last visit.

NOW, the other forum I visit isn't quite as large as the Café, so it would be cool if you could specify which forums you want to be included, so for me I would probably have all new posts from the workshop and marketing forums.

See my thinking?

Thanks

Gary, that's the purpose of the red mugs. When you log into the Café and go to a forum, the red mug you see tells you there are posts that have been received since your last visit.

Indeed, but you still have to go into each individual forum to read them.

This option present all posts in a long list so you can breeze down them and open the ones that are of interest!

No worries, just a suggestion!

One problem I have with the red mugs is that if Im only looking at the top of the forum, eg cards and coins, and I might miss something further down in the buffet where there are only occaisonal posts.

I visit multiple boards, and I survive by this option on every one of them. I was a little surprised there wasn't one here since I thought it was a standard function.

So I would second the recomendation/request. It's great to see every post that has been updated in one go rather than clicking into each forum individually.

I agree- the "posts since last visit" link at the top of the forum index page is essential, and is included in most other forums you visit, and in some forums there is also another link that allows you to "view your posts" and then it lists all of the topics you have posted in, sorted chronologically. If you view your profile you can only view the posts in the last 30 days, which doesn't really help when you are trying to follow an older thread. There are so many forums and sub-forums here that it essential to have functions like this, IMO. Also, the ability to subscribe to threads is a nice option as well.
Never criticize someone else until you have walked a mile in their shoes. Then, when you do criticize them, you will be a mile away from them and you will have their shoes.

Marvello, if you want to see all of your posts and not just the ones in the last 30 days, simply use the search function and type in your name. There are several options to limit or expand your search within that function.

Gary,

What you ask for would be problematic to do and to read. I read your post this morning at 7:41. In the top right corner it said, "...have posted 1,321,968 messages." Four hours later that number had changed to 1,332,191 showing that 10,233 messages had been posted in four hours. That's a little over 2,500 per hour.

I think you can see where I'm going...you'd better live here if you want to keep up with everybody that is posting. I'd hate to come here and see that I've got 30,000 posts to review. (I have enough SPAM to deal with.) I think the method that we use here of showing what has changed is the best method. I agree however, if there were few members with few posts, your idea would be valid. I've even seen it on other boards. However, I don't visit those boards as almost nobody else does either. The other suggestions above will help you out too.
