Does anyone own or perform the Tora pocket watch stuff? He has about 3 or 4 different acts that he sells ...
Just wondering about the quality and practicality ... |

Cardone, about 20 years ago there was a craze in my country over these pocket watches acts. I have seen the models used and at that time Tricks from Japan was selling it.
In my opinion and also from seeing the actual material, the pocket watch does not look realistic even from a distance. In terms of practicality it also depends on which act/model you are buying. In my opinion again, the prop is too bulky just because you need it to produce a couple of watches. Manipulative skills can always be used to replace the prop. In terms of watches and clocks - nothing comes close to Richard Ross' Clock Act. |

Cardone, I have seen the regular size manipulation watches from Tora. It is a stack of 7 watches and are pushed to produce a pocket watch. They are well chromed and look good for a fake watch.
If you are interested in this product, I know http://www.stoners.com have 2 sets available that they are selling for 1/2 price. $15.00 each set. They are not on their web site but you can email and purchase by telephone. I have owned in the past the Tricks Co. pocket watches and they were the best on the market at the time. I have tried to find Tricks Co. in Japan but with no luck. If anyone knows where they are or a web site, please post the info. I have contacted some dealers and they do not know where they are. I guess they sold through wholesalers. |
