Hello,
I was wondering if there are many editions or volumes to the "Encyclopedeia of Dove Magic" book? I have looked around on the internet, and a lot of the websites say volume 1 or second edition? How many volumes/editions are there? Thanks, Kevin |

Kevin, it depends on which Encyclopedia you are interested in. The Marion Chavez Encyclopedia is one book but the Ian Adair Encyclopedia of Dove magic is multiple volumes.

The Ian Adair Encyclopedia consists of 5 volumes.
Volume 4 is the difficult one to get as I believe there was only a limited print run. B.S |

I've heard it's hard to get vol 4. I own all 5 volumes so guess I'm one of the lucky ones.

Of what has been available over the last forty years, the Ian Adair Encyclopedia has been the most useful to me.
As an older guy, let me remind you to never pass up an opportunity to visit and talk with foreign dove magicians. Bird magic in India and China has a much richer history than American dove magic. (America simply got a very late start.) Foreigners have used props (like fans, mats and baskets) for centuries that we rarely consider. New magic is usually just new to the observer. Good magic stays good magic. Enjoy! Bob Sanders Magic By Sander |

My Volume 1 is signed by Ian Adair. I'll sell it for 8 rolls of toilet paper.

Volume 3,4, are the best as they have dove productions and body steals by famous magicians in it with pictures. If you want a complete 5 volume set PM me for details.

I actually have all five volumes and and extra set of the first four volumes. Not sure how that happened. Good stuff for reference and a lot of it could be reworked to be updated for today.
