I need some advise...Hot Leads has been a terrific seller for a few years and I want to thank all of those who purchased one.
Every once in a while I get somebody who asks for The Afterburn. Afterburn was the same effect but it used a nicad battery and flash paper or cotton to set off the card. After you handed your card, you had to reload your cotton/flash paper. It was very nice to watch and perform as the effect seemed very magical. Afterburn preceded the Hot Leads by two years. My question is... Do any of you feel that it would be necessary to reintroduce the Afterburn for the those that really like this product? Jim Pace

Well, I feel it would be a good idea. Some people don't like the improvements over Afterburn. I, however, own Hotleads. I think maybe just seel form your site and take pre-orders or special orders? Would that be an option? Or maybe create a better one!

Hi Jim,
I have Hot Leads, but I think Afterburn sounds really interesting. I have to say I still haven't gotten the hang of "flicking my bic" to get the card going. (I know practice, practice, practice). Thanks, Dave |

I think the Igniter + Preset flashpaper/Buisness cards and an ungimicked wallet would be better than Afterburn (I've never seen it, but have used both igniter and Hotleads a ton).

I have had both, Afterburn and Hot Leads, and while I couldn't even tell you where Afterburn has settled, I keep Hot Leads in my bag, handy for use.

What about a system with a smaller igniter hidden under the wallet on a pull, ignite it, gone. Just a thought.

I own a Hotleads, and I use it a lot.
The only thing I don't like about it is "the click." The Afterburn sounds like it is a quiter device. However that is the only advantage that Afterburn offers. I have heard from others that the prep for Afterburn is time-consuming. The afterburn also only gives you one try for ignition. I like Hotleads because if it doesn't light the first time, you always get a second shot. It's fool proof. I think Hotleads is the superior, more reliable product. Might as well do away with the Afterburn, Jim.

I agree. I liked the product, but not the click which is a dead giveaway.
If you made an electric ignition one, I'd certainly want one. Steven |

I'm going to be one of those infamous derailers of posts, and take this in a different direction.
Jim, I've been wanting to ask you about a product for cards that are printed on both sides. My new business cards don't burn, and I can't use Hotleads anymore for this reason. It's been a bummer - I still get asked to, "Make the flaming card." For bonus points Jim, please ask my question about your color change from Visu-antics that I posted in the Secret Sessions! Love your stuff, babe! AtPG
