Yep, he explains it very good though you need practise!

Joker 55:
One of the best resources on how to steal a tie is a book titled "Complete Course in Pick Pocketing" by Pierre Jacques, page 39 all the way to 49. The way Pierre teaches is very simple and gives great reasons to be touching the area where the tie is. In other words it gives real reasons why instead of hookey reasons. The book covers all the types of tie knots and how to approach each one. If you have any questions please feel free tp contact me. Good luck. James Coats |

I mean no offense to anyone, however in my personal opinion I found James Coats to be one of the worst pickpockets around. He is just plain clumbsy looking. I understand as much as the next guy the need to brush up against a spectator while dipping, but the Todd bertuzzi style hip check he uses in his videos is a tad much!
I would suggest reading Jim Ravels book and then getting the James Freedman DVD. Both of these individuals have a wonderful sense of timing and the proper touch to accompany it. It's all about being casual and gentle.

You realize, Mr. Stolz, that Mr. Coats posted directly before you.

Actually I will agree with Mr. Coats, though the resource is a hard one to find. But since the book is a little difficult, I would say that Jim Ravels book is alright for starting, but James Freedman does show how to take it off, and demonstrates how to do it without fuss. He has a nice little booklet that shows how to take off the tie with little effort.
