I got this set of color changing & multiplying thimbles (I believe it was from hottrix) that do a lot of magic for like $17. you can start a routine right out of the box. very portable.

I vote for the multiplying rabbits and an Okito Box (maybe toss in a c/s coin).

The squirting nickel. I use it in a routhine where I show them a two dollar bill and point out that in the back ground there is one gentleman with his hat on. I believe they are indoors. I point out that this was improper back in the day. I say that that I quite strange to see pictured on money. I then tell them that I am going to show them something even more bizarre on a nickel. I then show them the monticello monument on the back. I ask them did they know that there is a sprinkler system on the grounds. They ask where. I then gladly show them. A good trick or prank wouldn't you say? Just a couple of bucks.

I might also add Precision Magic's magnetic Scotch & Soda (I think it's just under $15).

Has anyone mentioned the little plastic cups and balls set yet? There's a whole lot of magic there. I also like the thumb tip and silk and the three shell game.
