Hello Royston,
Great pics of your balloon creations. Must take you some time to make up the balloons for a party. More than the 45 minute show I'm sure. Just out of curiosity, do you add on the price for balloons as an extra or is part of your larger price for a show? All the best, JoJo

Thanks for the feed back, it's going to be exciting to post my pics of all my work on that site, I'm booked for a lot of street show's this summer + pitching balloons and in the corporate market where I preform close-up magic around the tables I'v started introducing balloon models with great effect just for the adults, JoJo the big models I use in the corporate market because not everybody needs a balloon but they love watching them being made with lots of interaction.
The balloon hats I make before the childrens party as an add on so much per hat instead of party bags. MagicalOdyssey I'v started adding my close-up magic photos, lots more to come. All the best Royston |

Dear Royston
Well about the balloons pics, you have some troubles sometimes with the proportions...I mean when you look at the Gooffy's cheaks....and also Mickey is not so "big"... For the scoubidooo hat you forgot one part of the mouth. I think that you can use the scoubidoo's mouth you did for the mickey's head (with another color of course)and use the mickey's mouth for the scoubidoo's hat. My goal is not to critic on you, but I want you to do more beautifull balloons. Take care arthur |

I like this pic:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/roystonsout......6993040/ I bet people thought that was great when they walked into the bar to find it occupied by Tweety and crew. Although, poor old Daffy is a little too close to the dartboard for comfort. I agree with Arthur, the proportions need a little work in some of them and the lock twist for the snout is more dog-like than the loop, but your probably miles ahead of most of the local competition so don't worry too much. Thanks Arthur & George,
It's great to get some positive feed back, Arthur your right about the cheaks on gooffy I'll change that, the dog is work in progress as I've just started doing the balloons in 350s to make them larger for more impact, the mickey I usually make from 260s I'm going to have to put more work in getting the proportions right for the 350s my wife said the same thing about mickey (maybe I should listen to her more!). It's good to chat because sometimes we can't see the wood for the trees. It will be interesting to see how my work moves on with this photo site and good advice from you folks here. Speak soon, Royston |

Good job. I think everything is great.
What are your resources for the balloons? Are the characatures your own designs or did you get them from books, dvd's etc. Is your superhero from Ken Stillman. He was at balloon camp and gave a lecture on the superhero. What a great design and you have done it well. |

When doing a kids party, what shapes do you do most often?
Do you do multiple balloon figures for everyone? Thanks for your input.

Wow! Royston...all I can say is that I am impressed!
You have obviously been doing this for some time. Just shows how much more practice I have to do with balloons. Let's see...if I take the dogs tail and turn it this way...dang...popped again! Uuuugggghhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mark. |

Hi gang sorry to take so long to get back but been really busy doing this great job of ballooning.
If you really want to make money at this BUY EVERYTHING OF DON CALDWELL'S & PRACTISE, PRACTISE & PRACTISE. I owe so much to the great minds of people like Don Caldwell, Ken Stillman, Sandi Masori etc etc these people can really fast track you if you put the work in you can make a living. Thanks for all the positive comments its great to encourage and get inspired with like minded freinds, Speak soon, Royston |

Oh my God!
I thought my monkey on a palm tree was good only to find that you make one ten times larger and a hundred times as good! Amazing. I have to learn some of those models, they are amazing. I can only begin to imagine the reactions you must get from making them. How many ballons, on average, do you use per sculpture? Kudos to you. Cheers, Ali

The balloon hats that I make for party favors I make at home and transport them in my van in big clear balloon bags which hold about 15 hats, I hand them out ofter my show or leave them with the host.
Hope this helps, Royston |

Hi Royston,
I've found clear bags tend to assist in making the balloons look old. I've always taken them in black bags to protect them from light. I'll await your thoughts until I go in search of large clear bags. all the best, JoJo

Hi JoJo,
Most of the time I make the hats the morning of the show, the plastic of the bags keep the balloons fresh (keep out of sun light)when you bring them into the party the perceived value is much much greater than walking in with black BIN bags, the colour is a show on its own and realy helps with the up sell.
