Rannie,
Thanks for the link. I really enjoyed the routine and the psychology of the effect. Now I just have to find a source for the "not so gaffless" gaff. Jon

As always, Rannie is very creative and the routine is very well taught and thought out.
It will definitely play using any currency, its easy to carry around, and is actually relatively impromptu if you have the gaff on hand (and it's much easier to reset than the original hopping half). Great work!!

I have seen this effect by Rannie and it's a real cutey-pie. It's easy to do, people are amazed by it, it has the Hopping Halves theme to it but with less to do, and a great little storyline. It's tight, packs real small but plays big. I highly recommend this. You'll keep it in your pocket ready to go always...I know I do. Between Rannie, The Godfather and a few others here, you've gotten a trunk-load of good stuff and they just keep coming with it... Hey, and the new dvd from the Godfather is nearly here, "La Famiglia." Heard Rannie is on this one too, with another one of his classics. Boy, what a Café!

Rannie:
I was finally able to view this (at work) and I must say, I'm very impressed. The thinking behind the effect is great and I love how you involve the spectators. Sometimes simplicity makes an effect better than the original and I think this is one of those times. If the rest of the Café viewers have not asked for this, they don't know what they are missing. Not only is it a presentation piece, but Rannie is gracious enough to teach the routine! I guarantee I'm going to use it!!! On another note, can you let me know where I can get a copy of your Raytrix DVD? Your friend in magic Craig |

Okay, That was good. Great thinking. Simplicity at it's best. But don't think just because it's simple that it won't do you justice. It will. Thanks again Rannie. This is definitely a worker.

Rannie,
Thanks for the link. Talk about ironic timing! I just purchased a Gene Poinc Crocodile Coin only because I had never heard of or seen one before. It sounded interesting enough and the price was right, so... Anyway, the effect that it came with was incredibly lame, but your "Not So Gaffless Hopping Halves" is the perfect routine for this coin. As for the video, your presentation style is so comfortable, and the routine is very well paced and effective. Nicely done! Thanks for sharing!! |
