I've always been intrigued with the dollar bill serial devination effect. I just recieved Bryn's new effect simply called $ (dollar sign).

It is the devination of a serial # and the mint where the bill was printed on a one dollar bill.
What sets this apart from 99% of the similar effects is, there is no switch of the bill the spec chooses. They choose the bill and it stays in their hand.

The handling is explained in detail in the instructions and the method is nothing I have seen before.

You basically pull out a stack of 5 or 6 bills from your wallet ( ungaffed real bills) hand them to the spec face down (serial # side down) and have them mix the bills up and choose one.

You can have your back turned or be standing several feet away.

If you'd like to devine a serial number without doing a switch Bryn has come up with an ingenious method for doing it. It's very cool.

Bryn is a very good friend of mine, but I want you to know that in no way biases my review of some of his products.

$ is extremely clever and practical. I will be traveling to Hawaii in a couple of weeks and plan to use it in my trade show work.

"The Notebook" offers all kind of variations. I have a new video shoot coming up this summer and I may very well, with Bryn's persmission, use a variation of this on it.

First, I want to thank Richard for taking the time to write up his opinions of a few of my effects. I am very aware of his schedule and it was most appreciated.

To answer a couple questions:

CoinMan21: The BusinessCoin Prediction premise is similar to Max's version but, yes, there is a signifigant difference. There are a couple threads here on BusinessCoin and a search should give you all the info. you need.

David: Ahhh....the notebook. Richard is talking about a billet notebook I sent to him. I tried to find one for sale, could not, so I designed one to meet my specific requirements. I was very creative and named it THE NOTEBOOK. hehe.. It is a simple Mead sprial-bound pocket notebook that I have gimmicked to be able to be shown front AND back yet allows the index to be easilly utilized. I packaged it up with photo-illustrated instructions & an included Astrological Sign routine in which I teach a retention-of-vison type billet switch that uses the notebook itself. I wasn't sure if I was going to advertise it or not because it is a pain in the @** to make up. However, since I have the instructions done I will make them up on an as-ordered basis for anyone that wants one for $30pp. My standard refund, of course, is offered. I also sent one to Jheff of Marketplace of the Mind and here is what he said:

No. However, there is no reason for you NOT to use foreign currency. It can be a real intention grabber. I actually have my Predator Wallet, which is my everyday wallet, set up for the included routine using Iraqi money. The effect is still the same.

WOW!!!! That pretty much sums up my feelings on this great effect.

First off, I ordered it and then within a couple hours I was notified by Bryn that it was already IN THE MAIL! I have been working with it for a day or two and have discovered various presentations and ways to do this. Bryn makes it easy to do this multiple ways by giving you extra "stuff". Should you decide to do with borrowed bills you can but I am not sure that is necessary. Although I have worked up one presentaion where I do use borrowed bills and one where I don't. Just depends on the situation.

This is a very clever idea and one that will have many of us saying, "why didn't I think of that?" It's so simple... I just love stuff like this!

The Casino Decks are all gone and I may do another 52 deck run in future but as of now I have no plans to do so. If I do another 52-run of anything it will certainly be "DOUBLE DOWN."

Some have asked if this can be done with foreign currency. I initially replied that through the unique principles involved that it could not. However, Jheff from Market Place of the Mind had come up with a brilliant routining where foreign currency CAN be used. PM or email him showing that you have this and he may tip it. It is good stuff.
