Guys, I'm thinking of getting ceseral's melting point and subterfuge. I undertand that both require a ring... so for those who know how its done, how similar are the two? Is there much point in me getting both? Or will I be dissapointed?
And for the subterfuge, if the audience watches my hand, will they see the ditch? How clean is it? Also, is the subterfuge ring interchangable with the pk wizard ring? I'd be grateful for any help Thanks Chris |

Hope I could help you. I know how subterfuge works.

I have both of them.
The effect you do with Melting Point could also be done with a Subterfuge setup. It's possible for the audience to be burning your hand while you ditch in Subterfuge, but you would have to be pretty smooth with it. Once you are done with the ditch, they can inspect the ring all they want. Steven |

I'll try to be as too the point as I can:
They are very similer, though MP uses a gimick that is situated so you can show your fingers completely empty. With sub, the "gimick" is right there with the ring and you cant move fingers.. the basic idea's of "grab, ditch, show" are the same with both, however the actual pickup will be a bit smoother with MP I believe due to clean-ness, though the same effect can be done with Sub. Wizard and sub are not really interchangable, with Sub the ring can be "turned on" and "turned off" at will, while the wizard is basically a magnet in the shape of a ring. As for the ditch, check the video's... its about what they will see.. perhaps if they track your hand they'll see contact but not much else, besides you can misdirect them away from the hand, cant you? I'd get both MP and subterfuge and use the MP setup for gimick when possible as it looks a bit cleaner than straight sub. |

The method for the two is very different.
Personally I don't like subterfuge. I think it's too complicated, and you look like you're having an anurism when you ditch. |

I liked Melting Point more than Subterfuge. I agree with Daeg. MP looks cleaner than SB.

I'm sorry for being unclear. I bought the trick recently and thought it was too much money. Some people may disagree with me but I don't have a job and must save my lunch money to buy magic items. So, I guess you can say I was dissapointed that it was so much.

Then maybe its time to get a job before you spend on magic items.
The worth of the effect is not based on the gimmicks you get. Were you expecting a molecule diffuser? |

It's hard to get a job when your under 16 years old. A molecule diffuser would have been nice

Nice insight Daegs!
I understand that some of these products are magnetic, but does MP need a special coin? Jim
