I found the link to the books ad and it looks like dave dee wrote the ad. It has all the standard come ons, which are standards for a reason, they work. It looks like it covers the usual stuff thet is covered here. If I had the money I would get it, but I don't have the mnoney right now.

Go to http://www.buskerscentral.com/basics
You can find it from there. I don't know how to post a link. |

For what it's worth, here are his basics:
http://www.buskercentral.com/basics.php and a link to the book. http://ultimate-street-performer.com/str......ook.html Judging from his "basics" teaser, and the over the top hype of a $30 ebook of rehashed material, I'm happy to stick with Gazzo, Eric Evans, Nowlin Craver, Cellini, until someone can convince me otherwise...

Save your money. If someone were to take the time to just read over the older posts here and the other magic sites, paste and copy what ever grabs their attention, they would learn more than any 10 books could ever teach them.
There is no magic bullet -- except practice, practice, and more practice. As for this book specifically, I got it for free and I still didn't like it. YMMV Chance |

Thanks guys. I thought as much. I agree with Dave V. What else is there to add, but was just trying to complete my reading.

Apparantly he is based in Singapore/Canada,,,,
No one in the busking community really knows who is is, I have read it and some things are not correct in my view , like he says walk around with your hat afterwards, when I reckon you should stand still and let them come to you,, heres a link to another discussion about the said book http://www.performers.net/forums/showthr......did=4179 cheers Nick |

Definitely a Dee/Kennedy style of sales letter. The problem here is WHO he is marketing too.
Jedi marketing tricks only work on the weak minded I think. I tend to doubt most street performers are likely to get sucked into believing the hubbub. Here's a quote from Star Wars that would probably work for most buskers..."Mind tricks won't work on me. ONLY MONEY!" :) Robert

He is based in São Tome e Principe, which is a tiny island chain off the coast of West Africa. I don't know where he has done his street performing, but since tourism is not one of the main industries there, I doubt that it is at home. I'd be curious as to where he had actually worked.
