Hi all. I know that this is probally a question that is asked all the time, but I am looking for resources for some psuedo-hypnotic effects.
Just to clear up what I mean by that, I mean effects like the Locked Hands Test, the Locked Eyes Test, the Abnormal Lift. All of those where on Osterlinds Easy to Master Mental Miracles DVD's. I know of a few other effects along the same vien, like the old seperated fingers being forced to touch test, but I'm looking for more. I've gotten hooked on these tests, and as a mentalist they work great for me as anytime effects. I know I should just learn how to do hypnosis, but I find that quick little tests like these often leave spectators 'amazed' at my powers. So, does anyone know of a good book, website, or ebook that has a bunch of little tests like this?

Gotcha... I'm about to go look that up on Amazon.com.
I was just doing some reading, and it seems that a lot of suggestability tests would work as well. I'm not looking to do full out hypnotism, I just want to have ten or so effects that I can do anytime that demonstrate mind control. If anyone has any good suggestablity tests let me know. I'll research that book a bit on the Café' and see if it's up my alley. If anything maybe I can learn real hypnosis at some point. Right now I'm just looking to agument my show slightly by demonstrating power over other peoples bodies and minds. Thank you for your quick advice. I wasn't expecting an answer so soon.

Well after doing some reseach on the Café, I decided to order two books, "The New Encyclopedia of Stage Hypnotism", and also "How To Be a Fake Kreskin". They should be here in a few days and I am already wetting my pants with exitement. I think that I will try to learn some hypnotism, but only from an entertainment standpoint. I think it would be a good idea to start my show talking about the powers of the human mind, do a few mind tricks, and then move on slowly to the impossible mentalism effects. That way the audience has time to build up believablity in my 'powers'.
One other book that I saw recommended by Richard Osterlind (when that man speaks, I listen) is "Body Magic", but I can't seem to find it anyhere at a decent price. I found it on Amazon.com for $117.00 used, but it didn't include a description, so I'm not sure if it is the right book or not. Can anyone clarify this for me, or point me in the direction to find "Body Magic"? I'm very interested in obtaining that book as well.

Another book I am interested in is "Real Mental Magic" by McGill.
From everything that I've read, his stuff seems to be top of the line in teaching and in overall effects. And I'm sure that the things that I learn I can branch out into new things. SO I have a new tast for the Café members... Anyone know where I can find I copy of that books? It seems to be long out of print.
