I am training to be an escape artist and have learned a lot since I started about 4 months ago. I own a couple very basic cuffs: ASP 100's, S&W 100's & 300's, Hiat 2010's, Peerless 700's and some thumbcuffs (very basic). I can escape from them with ease with the key (obviously) as well as with S***s. But here is my question, when a police officer cuffs you, he will double lock the cuffs as well as do a throrough search of you. And usually the entertainer will wear sleaveless or shortsleeve shirts, especially in these world record 5-10 second records. Here is my question if someone would like to PM me to discuss it further but how is the double lock disengaged quickly when their hands and arms are searched for tools? And from the pictures I saw they put your hands behind curtains or in some type of case or tube to conceal exactly what you are doing. NEwayz, I would like to start practising more with the double lock on and maybe start to branch into different kinds of cuffs. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Its just a simple tutorial on the asp cuffs, I did a few nights ago, shimming picking and dealing with the double lock.
pm me your email and I'll get it sent to you. but I'm going to be away for a few weeks so could take some time. James |

My nephew's grandfather was a police supervisor. He put cuffs on me and double locked them, once - I was out of them in 45 seconds. I just used a gimmick found in any magic shop and at many toy stores.

Alan could you PM me also about the gimmick? And yes, thank you James... the tutorial is excellent. I can now escape from ASP's w/ dbl lock engaged in 7.98 seconds!
