There are a couple of DVD sets starring Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy that will interest Magic Café members.

Warner Home Video has a 2-disk set available now. The 2nd disk includes scenes from the boys' guest appearances in MGM musicals, including their nonfunctional magic act from HOLLYWOOD REVUE OF 1929.

A release date has yet to be announced, but 20th Century Fox will be issuing A-HAUNTING WE WILL GO as part of a set with THE DANCING MASTERS and THE BULLFIGHTERS. HAUNTING (1942) is generally considered one of Stan and Ollie's weakest movies; the plot does involve them becoming assistants to Dante the Magician, so at least there is some historical signifigance.

I think also currently available from some outlets is POLITIQUERIAS (sp?), the Spanish-language, extended version of CHICKENS COME HOME (1931). Mayoral candidate Oliver Hardy throws a dinner party and has some special entertainment for the guests: Cantu the Magician, and the incredible Hadjii Ali!
