Seems to be averaging about $3.39 for regular unleaded here in La Jolla (San Diego). Good thing I don't have to drive very much right now.

But anyway you measure it it's still nearly half the price comparewd to what the rest of the worlds is generally used to paying.

Will you walk into my parlour? said the Spider to the Fly,
Tis the prettiest little parlour that ever you did spy;
The way into my parlour is up a winding stair,
And I've a many curious things to show when you are there.

Oh no, no, said the little Fly, to ask me is in vain,
For who goes up your winding stair
-can ne'er come down again.

$3.40 ish in the Bay Area (depending on where, as low as $3.10). Gee, I notice we are paying a lot more 'due to Katrina' though we get no fuel out of that region while the areas that DO get fuel from the refineries in that region are paying quite a bit less.

You know, I can recall being a little kid and hearing my mom complain, "a dollar a gallon. UGH!" That was even in my lifetime. Now today she told my brother, "I lucked out. Gas was only 2.71 at that Valero station."
Even I feel old in my senior years of 14.

Filled up today.... $3.25 And Howard, I drive a small car, but since my county is larger than your country, I have to drive an average of one hour to any show I perform at. And where I live 36,000 people commute to Los Angeles and surrounding areas to work each and every day from my coumminuty. Some of them travel 2 hours just to get to work. Most of them drive smaller cars, but a few drive the larger ones, just to be comfortable for the long jaunt.

According to the news, it's been proven that San Diego, CA ALWAYS has the highest gas prices in the nation! But we do live in a literal paradise, though, when you consider the climate. Such is the price! I'm glad I bought a 2006 Toyota last October and got rid of my 1994 Ford Probe GT. The Toyota has a smaller gas tank than the Probe, but I get more miles out of it than I did with the Probe's larger tank! Go figure! Smile
