There is a magic shop in Carmichael (Sacramento Area) on Fair Oaks Blvd. It is called Grand Illusions. The people there are really wonderful.

Since this old thread resurfaced, I want to mention this.
Investing in a book is far different from investing in a single trick or a DVD. Most DVD's have about 7 or 8 tricks on them, on average. Granted, for some it is easier to learn from a DVD, but if you know how to use a book, you can get a whole lot out of it. If you have trouble learning from a book, go to the third post in this thread. http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......1&10 Let's look at book as an example. The The Magic of Michael Ammar averages out at less than $1 per trick. So the relative value of the book versus a single trick is fairly obvious. Buy books. And if you find that there is an item you just can't figure out, then get the appropriate DVD.

Hi Bill: Thanks for the pure gold (as Conus wrote). I really appreciate it.
Hi Amazingmace: Thanks for the info. I will go there tomorrow. Sorry for replying this just now. I just had my second child, and I've been so busy. Thank you, all. |
