Any balloon DVD from a magic store will have region free encoding, which means it can play anywhere around the world with no specified region. If you are looking for a good balloon introduction DVD, I highly recommend Balloon School from penguin magic. It is even available from the UK store. So you can get free shipping. Here is a link:

Sorry Sean, but it is NOT worth the price. I have looked at it and it is so basic taht anyone with more than a couple of months experience is far more advanced than it is. Try Balloonhq.com and see the advertizers there. Thay have a LOT of GREAT instructional DVDs in PAL.

If you really need a local supplier try David Grist's DVDs;
http://www.davidgrist.com/browse/0/SG13 It usually ends up cheaper to import from the US than to buy locally so you should check out http://www.tmyers.com George |

Sean, I have the dvd.
I originally thought it was great too. Then my eyes were opened. Someone showed me a book with some sculpture in it that blew my mind. The thing about balloons is that you never stop learning. There's always a better way of doing things. Cashy001, every time you meet a balloonist and you see them make a sculpture you wanna learn, ask them. It is very uncommon for them to say "No!". Then make that scupture a hundred times so that you don't forget it and can make it perfectly everytime. Cheers Ali

Just because a DVD is region free doesn't mean it will play properly on European equipment. PAL and NTSC have different lines of resolution and sync methods. This is true for broadcasts, cable, VHS video tapes etc.
