So I joined the IBM about this time last year. I was attending meetings at Ring 35 in Birmingham, Alabama fairly regularly but then work and school started getting in the way. I really need to start attending my local Ring meetings again.
At one point, I was considering trying to start an informal magic club in my area but I know so very little about magic that I didn't want to be the de facto president. Further, I didn't want to send the wrong impression to the Birmingham folks who are all superb.
There she was, a dodgy old prune in a tiara, rushing at me waving a sword. Do all knights suffer this whilst being made?

So take Nike's advice and "Just Do It"! With the Birmingham folks that is.
