I think anyone can do it if they just copy the movements in the demo.
I hope that I'm wrong.

No their is actualy, a lot of psycology and presentation you need to perform this, it is all explained on the DVD, and yes their is a secret.

Kairansp, most people cannot rotate their arms while keeping their hands palm-down at the same time. So coping the movements in the demo isn't going to make it happen.. Buy Joe Rusell's DVD as his method and presentation make this effect is simply amazing !!

Being doublejointed, I could do it without the assistance of my other hand. I used to do it all the time 15-16 years ago when I was in high school. Like I said before it looks funny in shortsleeves. Unfortunately, the doctor is saying the doublejointedness is one of the causes of my left shoulder dislocating so easily. It got to where I'd turn over wrong in bed while sleeping and it would dislocate Smile

Once I get done with the physical torture er therapy, I'll have to check out how to do this without relying on being doublejointed Smile The surgery tigthened my shoulder up and I'm lucky now to get my arm over my head so I don't think I want to even try the twisting yet.

Joe Russell,

Thanks again friend, I'm sure Dis Jointed is going to be quite enjoyable to perform.

Does flexibility play an important role? I know with the Meir Yedid version, I couldn't do the "preset" too well due to flexibility restrictions.

What's with all these people saying that you can do this normally, or if you presented this as "do as I do" that a spectator would be able to copy you? I can't get my hand to turn nearly as far as joe in the demo video. Are the people making these comments double jointed or something?

Yeah, I have no idea what the people saying "copy the motions in the demo" are talking about. His arm twists pretty far beyond the point where my arm stops.

I like the demo.

That would be me,,
put your hand down and start twisting to the right like he does on the demo and you have done half of the trick.
I really don't see anything special other than the noise.

Hmmm just received the dvd... I am fairly satisfied with it... I am unable to go 360, I can go about about 300. IF eventually, through the techniques he teaches, I am able to go as far as he can, it will be friggen awesome, and I'd much prefer it to shinko's. I really hope so. So we'll see.

If it turns out I can't then I don't think I would do this stand-alone. I think I'd combine it with shinko's. Since dis jointed doesn't require any misdirection I think the move in shinko's would be much easier to pull off.

*Edit*
I just tried this on a table instead of kneeling and I was able to go about 345.

Hey I think I spoke too soon, been expirementing with this and I am now able to go 360 degrees comfortably with my left hand. I could go about 380 but it starts to get uncomfortable. This really is an awesome effect and I am now very happy with this. Thanks a lot Joe!

Glad you like it. Can you expand on the teaching of it, practicality, short sleeves version, etc?
