Hello
I am currently planning an act where I will be wearing a black jacket. How do I make sure that I don't fade into the background which is also going to be black? Should I put some embroidery on my jacket to solve this problem? Thanks. |

1. Try not to use the same tones of black.
2. Try not to have the same sheen. 3. Accent piping on every seam. 4. If the type of work you are doing will allow for it a slight dusting of glitter on you background. Is it your design scheme? If so the best thing you can do is change you background. If not you may want to consider a stop at your local fabric store and make your own free standing backdrop.

All good ideas, however, the first thing I would do is arange a technical reheresal. Get someone who's eye you value to see you on stage with the same lighting you will have during the live performance in your outfit as you will be wearing it. Never solve a problem that doesn't exist.
