I need to obtain a good magnetic holdout for a new coin routine.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I think the Trabucco Holdout is a good option....I don't personally have one, but remember reading a lot about it

Tophie,Chazpro put out an excellent holdout which doubles as a topit as well.I've attached this to my vest and it works very well. They also sell the right coins to use.

I too have Trabucco and recommend it. If you see it live, it's very clean and is designed so that there are absolutely no noticable movements when the dirty work is done. (it will require a little tailoring of your suit though).

Is something like this good for vanishing a piece of paper about the size of a dollar which has a little magnet attached to it?

Black hole by Peter Loughran. I have loads of holdouts including the Trabucco and this would be the best for what you're asking. It can easily be moved around your person depending on where you want to load/unload.

I have a M5 from Ellsionist and that came with a free raven, so I just use that - you have to be a little careful with it though because the magnetism isn't very strong, so don't chuck the coin ect onto the holdout.

Man, before spending any BIG magic shop money, I would suggest to google a search for a large magnet ( you can find them rarely cheap) and then you just sew some black felt around it. It works beautifully. I didn't even buy my magnet, I forget where I got it, but I have a little cut out section in my close-up case for it. Check out the M5 for PK effects though.. spend your money on that.
