Might just be extremely busy cuz he hasn't responded to my email or voicemail either. My "webpage" is not up yet and it's been a month.
He's known for good customer service though. I'll give him ben of doubt. |

Have you paid already for it? The first month is free, but then the monthly fee kicks in. I'd really like to see some results if I start paying.

I think most folks will just pull out the ole yellow pages when they want a magician or it's word of mouth. Never heard of anyone surfing the web to find magicians yet. I looked up my state of Wisconsin and no magicians are listed.
I would love to know how many hits this site has received from Wisconsin. I would wager none.

If I understand the process correctly, once someone signs up then that person's page will be optimized for the web, thus driving traffic to it. However, to my earlier point, if you already have a website then this "extra" BPP site would also pull a certain percentage of your traffic toward it. So, in a sense, you are fighting against yourself, and paying a monthly fee plus a per/show fee for the privilege.
Of course he has other things included in his package, but if you have purchased any of the myriad of marketing courses available you probably have access to most of that information.

It says not to use your own website while you are a member of BPP for that particular reason.
Tim are you out there? |

Toomuchmagic, you missed my point. Every show you get through BPP is bought from BPP for $25. If that client would have gone to my personal site, then I need not pay that fee. However, if my BPP site woos him away, and he books me through them, I must now pay $25 for that show. There really is no way of knowing if that has happened. But when I looked at the idea, it didn't make sense for me.
However, as I said earlier, if you don't already have a website, this is one way of getting started. Keep in mind though, that every show that books through BPP will cost you $25. So, you really wouldn't want to send customer's to the site if they contacted you though some other means. They may book you through the BPP site, and then you have to pay BPP to get the show. It just seems like there are a few kinks and quirks in the system. That's all.

No, I got your point. I think it just falls into the fact that there is dry logic surrounding it so...
"It just seems like there are a few kinks and quirks in the system. That's all." exactly.... however, I sometimes have trouble getting shows. Sometimes its hot, sometimes I cant pay people to hire me. |

Hey!! There are no magicians in guam on that site!! This is preposterous!!! Who ever heard of a booking system that dosent cover guam?!?
Seriously though, I couldn't find one state that had more than 3 listings, and there were plenty which had none at all. I mean...California (the party-entertainer capital of the world) only has 2 listings?!? This site is either really NEW or really bad.
Everybody wants to beleive.....we just help them along.

Well, I'm from a major metropolitan area, and there were no magicians from the San Francisco Bay Area on the site as of a few weeks ago.
My request for a guarantee of efficacy was ignored - I got the same email response others here noted. That is to say, no response. Good luck, all of you! Heck, wish me well, too! AtPG

Since you mention Guam, I have to let you know that any magician or clown (sometimes not so easy to tell the difference ) located in Guam can be posted on the local magic shop's internet site for FREE. Go to http://www.newplanetmagic.com This does get results for those that request it plus the magic shop is listed in the local yellow pages (not to mention the on-line yellow pages for Guam). Did I cover all the bases?
I'm not sure that a magician or clown from Guam would really need anything else (no offese to BPP), but travel expenses could get expensive if someone requested an entertainer from Guam and didn't actually live in Guam. |

Cancelled my membership. I've been a member for about 2 months. No website up yet. No leads either. And no email response. Waiting for pro-rated refund.

I know some of you are not going to like this post but I'm going to post it anyway.
The only person making real money on this is its originator. As a former party performer for decades and a business coach to entertainers I can truthfully tell you in my opinion why this is doomed to failure. 1. It does have a big enough "Reach". When a parent plans a party they look to friends for referrals, local parenting papers...etc. They seldom use the web. I've had lots of clients track their sales. Most are referrals from other shows. If you're doing a lot of shows you're generating lots of referrals. Most web traffic to your site are people YOU sent there! 2. You are paying $25 per show? A lot of performers don't charge enough for their work already. Now you're giving up another $25? 3. Every web page I saw was a cookie cutter look. You want to look like everyone else? Again it is the case of another magical marketer seeking the guy/girl hoping to get shows effortlessly. Unfortunately being in show BUSINESS requires effort, work and knowledge. Not returning e-mail? That's a surprise..... Good luck. John |

I Googled Birthday Party Magician & Birthday Party Entertainer - Birthday Pro wasn't listed in even the first three pages. I stopped after that!
A $5000 website? 6 Pages of basically templates.... get real! Wow! I think I even read they have an affiliate program. How many buddies can I get to sign up so mine is free? Smells like network marketing to me.... Smells like a duck, looks like a duck....it's a duck! Personally I'm advising ALL my clients to pass on this offer totally! My advice....have a great show and learn to market it well! That way you can keep ALL the money! Now go sell some shows! John |
