It's actually six hours, I do an hour on, 20 off, and when I'm sitting box, lately, my pit is on a 40/20 rotation... 40 minutes on, 20 minutes off..., and all breaks are paid.... I get tons of time to read magic books during break. Hey Clock, a lot of the poker dealers in California work on above minimum wage + tips..., a good dealer can turn out about 30-35 hands per hour..., usually you get a buck a hand on average pots and more on bigger pots..., but of course, sometimes you will get a table full of cheap ********, and you won't make squat for that round... It's all a part of the job and you will learn how to deal with those types...

In my private games dealers were making £2,000 a night, what's that? about $4,000 in tips but not now as the big private games seen have dried up. In fact I am struggling to get any games of late. Most guys are playing comps and the tips there are nothing.

What were the stakes? Games? Rake? Does anyone know how much poker dealers in Vegas make? |

I don't see where the amount that Vegas poker dealers make is mentioned. Could you point it out to me?? |

I highly agree with Mr.Z... I once dealt to Johnny "the *****" Chan, and I dealt him a $54,000 pot, and I got zero tips.... He's also the worst to have on the table... It's like babysitting.... There's also Joe "tight***" Hachem who won the world series and tipped a hundred bucks...

I know Devilfish. I am not sure what you mean by beat up on dealers but he couldn’t punch his way out of paper bag. As for flee bag - well not many I know are fond of him either lets say.

Tommy, I think he means the whole 9 yards... throwing cards,swearing,threatening the dealers... calling a bet and placing it just barely past the line so the dealers gotta reach...

I see, thanks, I am not up on USA lingo. Well Devilfish would not be alone there and it is the one thing I hate about dealing but it's part of the job to be able handle bad losers. There is not so much of it in private games because the dealer can knock them out as far as I am concerned and still keep her job. Some of my girl dealers are well capable of doing just that and the players know it.
 Not really but they can give as good as they get.
