Festive greetings one and all.
All I want for Christmas is a couple of DVDs that will improve my knowledge of card flourishes to enable me to show off in between tricks whilst performing. Only problem is I don't know where to start. Can anyone suggest the best buys? Like I say, I'm not really bothered about the tricks, it is mainly the flourishes. Ta Ta Cheers. Paul K. |

Get jeff McBride's art of card manipulations videos vol 1,2,3. It will keep you busy with cards for years.

check
http://www.flourishman.com http://www.superhandz.com for online demos and other cool things Other suggestions: Allan Ackerman, Brad Burt, Brian Tudor, Dan and Dave Buck etc... all have videos / DVD's on flourishes. So now you have something to work with, may I know just one thing... WHY do you wish to 'show off' between tricks?

Jeff McBride is probably the best in this area. But I have to warn you I only got his tapes to warm up my hands and learn not to be afraid of palming. Doing a flourish only gives the spec a sense of "ah," and not mystery; they will think you are a card juggler and not a magician. Dai Vernon only did a pressure fan in front of a spec and that's what made everyone respect him.

McBride's is very good. As well as Daryls stuff. If you really like sybils, Cap and the Bucks are decent. Tudor is the best in this arena. The Superhandz team has a couple of video CDs that I am going to buy for Christmas.

C4 instruction was good. The material looks very similar, but if your looking for one good sybil, you will find it here. But luckily, expertmagic.com has a good sybil from the video for FREE!! Also they did a good job at showing the different moves on the video. Wish all videos had that good of a promo, and preview. The price is right. But only if you like the sybil looking moves.
KC has a great and honest review, check it out. Cardjinx |

>CapCuts DVD. Thanks, KC. I see that I'm overlooking useful stuff in forums I rarely visit. I have the McBride tapes, Show Off II (geez, I wish I had oversized, neanderthal hands like Tudor does -- maybe I'll have to resort to ... *shudder* ... 'bridge' size decks?), and I've ordered C4. Brian |
