It looks like a handlordz version of a cheating DVD, with all the flourishes at the beginning etc.

The list of features says "False shuffles. Five of which keep the entire in deck in order (yes you did read that correctly)" as if the reader is going to be shocked to learn that, yes, you can retain full deck order after a shuffle.

The hold out that he is putting on the womans arm is as old as hell.

It looks very basic. I'd say it's just another in a long line of similiar products. The Flavor of the Month. Possibly suitable for the rank beginner. If someone gave it to me, I'd watch it. But I can't really envision a scenario in which I actually purchase it.

The preview doest show anything going on. its like a really bad copy of ellusionist stuff. not to say that theres is good but at least it gets me excited evne though I know the products don't hold up to my envisions.
you can fool all of the people some of the time and some of the people all the time but never all of the people all the time.

B-but but but... There's a charlier cut and a spread turnover! How can this not be the real work?

I know when someone charliers during a game, I just hand him all my money and walk away. He obviously knows "THE SECRETS OF THE CARD CHEAT"!

Thank you for posting this.

It made me go pull out the David Malek DVD off the shelf. Most enjoyable. That Malek sure can handle the cards.

Like others, if this was handed to me, and because I'm obsessed with all things cards and hustling with cards, I'd watch it.

The music and bad acting would probably drive me to pop the DVD back out before it was finished.

With DVD's from Malek, Piacente, Turner and videos from Forte easily available, who would actually buy this stuff but kids who don't know any better, which is actually just fine!

Malek covers a lot of stuff, everything from chip shiners to N-Strippers. (he doesn't tip N-strippers, just talks about them and shows them being made.)

You'll not be dissapointed in any way with Maleks DVD.

It's also the least expensive by far of the Forte/Piacente/Malek hustling triad of films.

As an aside, does anybody know for sure if Forte is planning on any sort of re-release of his VHS set as a DVD, or if he's planning any sort of updated release on DVD with new material?

He's got a gillion potential projects that he could develop, including putting the series on DVD, but it's anyone's guess as to whether any of them will see the light of day.

I only have the one that just came out. It is set up as a basic introduction to protecting yourself from cheating. You won't learn anything new with respect to protection, given your experience, but you will totally enjoy watching & learning from his technique.

Not really. Piacente's and Malek's are about the same when you consider that Malek's is about $30 for one of a set of 3 (total $90) and Piacente's is a complete program (154 minutes) for $100. (Piacente's is even cheaper if you have the coupon- $70.)

Just wanted to shed light on the whole picutre.

Jack is a very funny guy from Ireland and I think I will get it just for a laugh if nothing else. You never know your luck, there might someting interesting on it.
If there is a single truth about Magic, it is that nothing on earth so efficiently evades it.

Yes really.

David - One DVD for $30.00
Sal - Two DVD's for $100.00 (most folks don't have a coupon)
Steve - Four VHS tapes for $400.00

Talking about "series" doesn't change what you're paying per DVD.

I thought Steve's tapes were ~$50 each? I may be wrong?
Thanks,

Youre absolutely correct at $50.00, and I'm absolutely incorrect at $100.00!

To you, it might be about what you pay per DVD, but to me, I pay for content. Whether you have a COMPLETE teaching program on 2 discs or 3 discs isn't as important as what is actually on those discs.

I have both the Malek and Piacente DVDs and still say that they are comparably priced considering the WHOLE picture.
