Yea I've been looking for something to routine with the old razor blades trick too, was hoping Mr Houcin might release his thread from eye trick but that's a long way off I think. However the variations included on the DVD sound amazing. Definitely gona pick this one up.
Can anyone who has it give a bit more of a description of the one where he pushes the thread into his throat and out the other side? Is it pushed in and pulled out a la saw or more of a push the end of it in and thread it out the other side? Cheers Phil |

I performed SAW at a house party the other day, and the reactions were memorable. One lady grabbed her neck as if she can feel the thread against her neck, while others looked away in disgust. The images on their faces, left me wanting to take a picture.
I'll try to get video of it and put it on YouTube! |

How long does it take to construct the gimmick and how much will it cost?

Takes a little less than 5 secs. The gimmick is cheap and can be picked up anywhere.
Get it Matt, it's worth it. I took a photo of it, the illusion looks great. |

You begin saw normally and once the thread is saw'd into your neck , you let one end of the thread go and pull the thread out from the one side of your neck. I received my DVD yesterday and it is AWESOME. Cant wait to perform this. |

Thank you all for your kind words and support!
I am very proud of this effect; as simple as it is, it has never failed to get those 'T.V.' reactions. People really do gasp, scream, gag, point, and stare in sheer shock and amazement. I am extremely happy to see others who have added this to their repertroire and are getting these same reactions. Although I am a little dissapointed that this effect got dropped by 'that guy on T.V.' and his primary consultant, I do understand why, and I am very pleased to have had the opportunity to work with them; it really was a pleasure. Again, thank you all for your support, it is very much appreciated and encouraging. Sincerely, Sean Fields |

I ordered this effect for a few reasons. One, it said "Take a piece of thread and saw your own neck with it." Second, it was produced by AOI magic and directed by Rodney Reyes. I had to buy it.
I open up my package and noticed this very busy yet very enticing DVD. The case is cool, entirely black and white which made it spooky, yet made me really want to watch it. Let me say that after watching this effect performed, I was amazed because it was the first time I actually saw the effect being performed. The video is put together very well. The order is very well done and the teaching is straight forward and to the point. For the effect. It is genious - story of a performance is the only way to explain. I was walking to my next performing spot, a bus stop. While walking I set myself up for Saw only a minute before I got to the stop (while walking, I did the set up) When I was there I did a few other body effects and gave this a test ride. I had done Stigmata, Disjointed, and was going to test out Saw, that was my third time during the day. When the thread was in my neck, the people who weren't watching any magic came to watch, and those who were watching were completely blown away. I was surrounded on all sides. People were freaking out, just like before, but so much more so. Everyone was flipping out and couldn't believe it. When I started to saw out of my neck, I had people run away. I was amazed at how much they were amazed. When I was done, I grabbed my neck to "check for blood" (don't need too, but my addition) and someone walked up to me and said "Yo, bro, I want your autograph, you are going to be famous." I gave him my autograph and walked into the road where I dissappeared behind a truck. I give this effect a 10/10 due to it's impossibility, it's genious, and the amazing ness of the effect.
I am nobody, nobody is perfect, therefore, I am perfect.

This sounds like an adaptation of Andrew Mayne's Paperclip Through Arm but used for your own neck.

I've been tempted also...ordered it and just got notice it has shipped. I haven't told the wife about it. Just gonna do it. If it is as good as they say I'll probably spend at least one night on the couch, but it might be worth it.

I got my copy today, and I probally enjoy performing Suture the most of all. Sean this is absolutely brilliant and I was very amazed looking at myself in the mirror to see how visual this illusion really looks. I usually wait a few weeks or so before I even go out and perform a effect, but I actually performed this today about 16 times for random people at the local mall and they all freaked. This a fantastic effect, I recommend this to any magician who wants to amaze their audience. Thanks Again Sean for having such a creative mind friend!

I just got this. I was all excited I ran out and purchased the things to make this work. Cost me around three bucks is all. Well I get home and get ready walk to my mirror and for some reason this does not work. I am disapointed. I don't know if it just my skin or what, but I tried everything to get it to look right and nothing. I got the wound to appear once and it held for about 10 seconds. I dang near had to hang myself to get that much to hold. I know it is just me and not the effect, so I am looking for help. Has anybody else had this problem? Am I doing something wrong?
