For those of you who send out a physical newletter to your clients and prospects, what do you make the newsletter out of? Is it just paper stappled together? Is there a nicer cover sheet? Let me know everything you can.

You know you are a magician when you have boxes full of lecture notes you have never read, but still are excited about going out and buying more.

I used to use 11 X 17 inch paper folded in half, now I do it with 8 1/2 X 11 inch paper folded in half. Each sheet makes 4 pages the front is the cover page, and the back is the shipping label side. I use two sheets, which gives me 6 pages for the content. I staple the side, stamp and label it, then drop it in the mailbox.

Quick, easy, and a production cost of about five cents.

Are you doing one color or full color?

Do you do this from home on a laser jet, true laser or carry the print job else where?

It would seem to me that here the paper cost alone would exceed the five cents a copy. Even Xeroxed copies are seven cents a side. How are you doing this? I'm spending too much!

An easy way is to make it one color (black) and use greays to give the feeling of multple color while keeping costs down. This way you can set up a template on your computer and print out the sheets at home and fold them. Then your only cost would be the initial cost of the paper you buy at the store. It keeps vcost down but can still give you a nice looking newsletter that will serve the purpose for you.
