Ive seen this everywhere. Jugglers, flourishing with one club inthe hand. Spinning it around, whirling and twirling. It looks really cool. Some just do it while standing still, and some do it in the midst of like, a cascade. Where can this be taught?

You might want to search or google on "club swinging"
I guess that is what you mean? |

Throw a double (or triple) and twirl the club in the hand that will throw next around your thumb and pointer finger...
When it's time to throw, let her fly. Practice your dominant hand first, get comfy with it, then go for your off hand.... Prof. Piper

I guess that this opens a topic in itself- I tend to learn tricks with my non-dominant hand first, as I find it so much easier to transition across. It's a steeper learning curve to pick things up with my left hand, but once I can do it left handed, the right hand picks it up very quickly; I used to learn tricks the other way round, and I found it much harder to learn ambidextrously. I guess here both hands have individual actions to master, though - one hand will have to throw a single, the other will throw a single to get rid of the club currently in the hand, catch the single end-up and flourish, whilst the first hand throws a double across and catches the single. |

That's a very disciplined approach!
I think I did a double finger spin...sort of a figure 8 type thing. I'd catch the club with the handle pointing up, (on the half spin) then swing it toward me on the inside, and away on the outside, kind of a wrist snake. You can throw a quad and do both spins at once (out of a 1 up/2 up). I wish I had a video camera! There's an alternating version which I can't explain without the clubs in hand, but looks very cool. I think it's right triple, right spin, left triple, left spin...but it might be with doubles. I personally used the right triple, right spin, right triple, right spin, contiuous as a build to a T-balance finish. You can also do a palm spin (a flat spin, usually clockwise in the right, opposite in the left). I've also seen a quick single reverse spin toss used as well.

This is the flourish I use - I tend to do it on the outside, but it can be done on the inside instead (in the middle of your pattern). |

There is the double finger spin, and the thumb roll, which is spinning the club around your thumb. You can do the outside roll, or the much harder inside roll.

The club starts between my thumb and index finger, and ends up between my index ad middle finger, it's mostly a wrist action though.

I generally flourish the same way as Rplanet. A nice variation is to be juggling columns and throw the middle club as a triple and flourish the other two clubs at the same time. You can keep this going with enough practice.

I'm pretty sure I always had to do a quad to make it fit in columns (out of doubles. You have to have time to wait for the 2 to come back to your hands.

Definately a triple when I throw it. I've even forced it out of a double before but that is really fast and evil!

Best way to learn these is find a juggler who can show you -- or go to a workshop on "flourshing" at a juggling convention
