Maybe you should pose your problems on the BW forums. You only have it for a day. Keep trying. Are you too young and have shorter arms?

Sorry if this was already mentioned earlier.
Hpw comfortably can BW be used and worn in long-sleeved shirts other than suit jackets? (like a button-up shirt)

Thanks,
Mack Magic

I would say a jacket...or perhaps a loose sweatshirt is pretty much the only way to go.

Seriously, am I the only one that doesn't really like the BW? I mean, I bought it and it's fun to play with, but it's not revolutionary. It's a nice little gadget, but not for the price. I will just say to blindside, or whoever is saving for this. Think it through. It won't revolutionize your magic as much as you may think. There are better things to spend your money on. I just had to say something, because all I see are all these reviews that make it seem like something it is not. It's a utility device, if you feel the need for something like this, it may be good for you. Although there are other alternatives. Just think it through, this will be one that after the hype is over, it will find it's way into the box. I just wanted to give my two cents.

I don't think this will end up in the drawer. I think once someone performs with it and makes a miracle happen in the spectators hands, they will love this device.

Till I ever find a chance to wear a jacket, I will practice Platt's Catapult color change for now. The BW is just not practical for my perfomance for now. But I'm keeping an open mind on this though.

Howdy ivan1001,

Yep....although with lots of practice you will get better, there are times when the spectator might feel something......which if handled correctly will actually enhance the effect.
I think Darry handled this by saying something right before the effect like "Now you might feel a little tickle as the magic is happening" or something along those lines. Use your imagination.

I'm surprised that Bball5630 isn't blown away by this, like most of the rest of us are, but hey.. that's ok. However, wise owl, don't let that bother you......99.99% is still a pretty good rating for ANY piece of magic.

I've been having wonderful success with this out in the real world. One of my favorites is "Making Change". I display a 50 cent piece and say how they aren't very practicle in today's world.....try using one in a vending machine...and place it in the specators hand.......then with a simple wave of the hands, and absolutely no finger movement....they now have 2 quarters. It looks amazing!

I'm sure Bball 5630 won't have much trouble selling his.

Happy trails,
Derek

Now, hold up. I don't hate the device. And I'm not selling it, either. It's just not one of those things that I need to add to my act right away. I always view things as the reaction versus, well, the setup and hassle involved. Right now, I don't see it making the cut. Although when I first bought a FISM flash I didn't either, now I shower with it. (Not really, I hang it on the towel rack and sing to it, but still) You may love the BW, and if it helps your magic, it's worth every penny. I just wanted to say something, because, I for one would want to hear everyone's opinion on products, good or bad. So take it with a grain of salt, I just wanted everyone to think it through and to not expect too much. It's clever, just not revolutionary.

what I mean is the BW fourm
have great ideal how to take care of the BW
but there is not enough info like in some problem when using it
maybe during set up or performace
and there is not enough(member)most of the times only get 1 or 2 member.
and some of the post have been locked up(like FAQ)
that makes me don't know where can I post my question.
you only open for post the rountine section..
and you know the last post on the fourm is 02 AUG is not really up
I know it sound like complain but I am not I am 100% supporter
I know that you have been really busy(i got told by some guys in this forum)
so I try to help and get help here(trying to not expose).
thx Darryl the BW is really really great I would say 120 out 100
but as a new user(master of the third) I have to discover it more and more.
I also hope and suggest that you can produce some DVD like (close up,card, coins, mentalism etc.)

By the way I come up with the ideal
can you guys give me some help may be
1.placing a small lock to the specator hand
2.the lock should comes with 2 keys right
3.took them off from the key ring and ask the specator to choose one(maybe there firends)and ask him/her to keeping it
4.and then lock another key, b4 you can use your key to try to unlock the lock
and lock your key with the lock.
5.place it back to the specator hand.
6.just a wave of your hand the magic happen.
7.the key and lock are separated
the specator check the lock with both keys

what is it sound, I think you can use ring as well

Hi Guys. I just ordered the Black Widow. I typically perform with my sleeves rolled up, but with all of the positive reviews, and some of the effects that are possible from the demo...I just had to get it.

I just noticed a thread in the secret sessions about the Black Widow. It pretty much said that the length of your arm, from the crease in your bicep, to the base of the wrist needs to be longer than 8 inches to work properly. My length is 9 inches.

Has anyone that owns the Black Widow experienced this problem.

Thanks,
Rich B.

I just wear mine slightly higher
I get to gaff some cool stuff for some cool people

Has anyone tried the BW while wearing a long sleeve shirt and jacket? I have one but have not tried it with a long sleeve shirt yet. I was wondering if anyone had any problems.
