Yea, a really big dog to sit next to your system!

Considering you're used to such a good system, I suggest trying the E/V SxA360 powered speakers. http://www.electrovoice.com/products/211.html The company I work for has been switching from 10" & 15" EON's to the SxA360, after trying all similar powered speakers of all brands.
Good luck!

Looks great, but a bit pricey.

I have a set of JBL Eon G2 10s that I love but when I wanted to purchase another pair to daisy-chain together, I couldn't justify the price. Carvin then introduced their own plastic powered speakers: http://www.carvin.com/products/single.ph......;CID=APS
I bought a pair of them and really love their sound. The definitely sound better than my 10" JBLs but that's not a fair comparison since the PM15As have a 15" woofer. On the Carvin forum, several members have said they sound better than the 15" JBLs and they cost half the price. The best part is Carvin's customer service is fantastic. I had a problem with one of the PM15As when I got it and they sent a replacement before I shipped back the damaged one. (They paid the return freight too!) Michael |

They have this thing called a car alarm ...
Actually if you have all your equipment in plain view, you're just asking for trouble. I can't tell you how many times I've seen and act with everything they have in their car. At the very least cover it up, be creative .. jackets, blankets .. make it look like you live in your car ... or maybe you do?? Steve P.S. Glad to hear you found your speakers .. hopefully they still work. |

They were in the trunk. Got wet. Sounded fine after they dried.

I'm glad to hear you found your stuff, even if it was wet.
I don't recommend the SXA360 I have had 3 speakers fail in the middle of a job on various occasions. I suggest JBL EON or the Yamaha powered speakers

I love my Electro Voice powered speaker. I worked with a DJ company for years that used those with no problems. So I bought one for my magic show. It has an input for your mic and a separate one for your music. No need for a mixer. I use a Zune with an XLR adapter for the music and it sounds great!
Hate to hear that you've had problems afillius. So far EV's have treated me very well. |

I think Carvin has a whole new line of this kind of speaker now. Check their website.

I have a Fender Passport 250. It is the only sound system I will ever need. I am confident that it is loud enough for an audience of 500+

I have the JBL EON G3 10" powered speakers, and they are only 16 lbs. each!!! They crank, and I've got a Phonic wireless link between them. Theoretically, you could put two of these into a suitcase, and still be under 50 lbs for flying!
