At my last show I performed the icarus effect for this women. I did it on flat ground. What I saw on her face after I landed seriously scared the crap out of me!!She literally started crying,no lie. She had tears coming out her eyes and everything, I could not believe what I was seeing. Me and another girl had to actually sit her down and comfort her. What I am really ticked off about though is that I was suppose to bring my video recorder to that show so my wife could tape me and get some reactions for my video I'm tring to make. Well, as it turned out, on the way to my show I realized I forgot my recorder and decided not to go back and get it. I would kill to get a reaction like that again, expecially on video! O'well, mabe next time. Well, now that I think about it, All I really have to do is go out, find the girl, make sure she drinks about a keg of beer (like she did that night) and then gets ta floatin. PERFECT!!!NOW Where's MY CAMERA????

I did it once not knowing that a group of Japanese tourist were walking by. In the middle of my levitation, I got at least 3 feet off the ground using the Blaine method, I heard screaming, I immediately got back on the ground to see if I needed to do any psychic surgery or anything like that. What happened was this Japanese man had pulled his sword, they all carry them just in case, and had yelled:
Ž„‚ÍŽÀŽ¿‚Ì–‚–@‚Ìl‚ª¡Ž„‚̶–½Š®‘S‚Å‚ ‚èAŽ„‚ªŽ„‚Ì‘cæ‚Ì“y’n‚É—·s‚µ‚È‚¯‚ê‚΂Ȃç‚È‚¢‚±‚Æ‚ðŒ©A which as you all know is very significant. He then thrust the sword into his gut and started to make the circle complete thus disembowling himself in the traditional manner. Inspired by my levitation he made it all the way around be collapsing. Oddly he had a burger and fries for lunch. Steve V |

Yes, that is the one, the one Blaine invented. My record is six feet off the ground. When I did that three nuns left their cluster and followed me. I finally had to tell they "hey you chicks, I dig you and all, but others should get to see the levitation too" so they left to become biker babes. Happens all the time, screaming, fainting, projectile vomiting....good stuff.

Used to work in a doctors office and my boss (office manager) knew I was a magician. Anyhow, some drug reps were pushing thier latest product and after they were done their meeting, three of them come into my office, I has my back turned to them and was working on mcalibrating my equipment. One guy says - "I was talking to Jane and she says that you can levitate." I turned my head, said "Yep, I do." and then just when into the Balducci. All I heard was "HOLY $#iT!!" and one guy went running down the hall to my boss' office shouting "HE'S FLOATING IN THE AIR!!!" I heard my boss reply with "AGAIN!!!" We laughed about it afterwards.

Now that reminded me of something.
The most shocked reaction I ever got was with the Needle Through the Arm. I was just about 20 and working in a factory. My foreman had no idea I was into magic. I came into work and set up in the locker room. I walk into the guy's office with this big hatpin and tell him I want to show him something. I lay a few paper towels on the floor to catch the gore that's about to ensue. The guy had the most nervous forced smile on his face as the needle went in. I say to him, "don't worry, there won't be blood!" and out pours the scarlet punchline. This 6'4" guy leaps up in an absolute panic, grabs a handfull of paper towels and with a voice sincerely distraught says, "Oh God... why would you do that to yourself?" He runs towards me with the paper towels as I'm trying to tell him it's just a trick. I felt pretty bad because the guy was really concerned for me. Remember, he had no idea I was into magic. He just thought I'd snapped and starting mutilating myself at work. I think he thought I was upset about a recent shift change. I guess that's not really a levitation story sorry. I did get an amazing reaction from my very religious aunt with the Balducchi on Christmas once. Rob |

Best reaction? I did a Balducci, before it was over done post Blaine, in a bar, and as a result..well, I guess the delicacy of this forum and in the spirit of good taste... let's just say I got to enjoy the pleasures of a rather attractive young lady. That's what got me into magic in the first place...I naively thought ( when I was younger and more impressionable ) that I would be as cool as Copperfield doing magic... It took 15 years but it finally worked LOL! Of course by then I had long figured out that magic groupies are not nearly as prevalent as rock groupies.
