Its a heated debate, but I think that once the genie is out of the bottle, there is no way to put it back. Some people will morally object to the idea of stealing someone's stuff, while others will grab it without a moment's hesitation.

And when it comes to magic, even exposure doenst seem to hurt too bad. Look at those "Secrets of Magic Revealed" shows that were on FOX a while ago. They exposed several classic tricks, yet I still see magicians making a living using them.

You are correct and incorrect. You can remove a file of a website but you can not stop it once it has made it's way onto a P2P network because it is shared by a computer and not by a network.
I also download and I know it is illegal and immoral but I have to have one flaw else I will be perfect.
I download Alias, CSI and American Idol. Why? because I live in Taiwan and we are years behind the shows or we never get it. What is the point of watching american idol a year after Hicks released his new album? The profit has already been made. In my opinion if you are interfering with the main profit drive by downloading it is wrong but if not it is not. What do I mean?
If you are downloading the new Live album because you don't want to pay for it it is wrong. If you are in a band and you are downloading the new song for the sake of playing it and the band then get money from performance licences at venues I don't consider it wrong. It is the same as recording it of the radio and then you are not interfering with the main profit drive.

Copyright infrengment is wrong. End of story. Copyright laws a wrong. End of story. Editing a television program and calling it "magic" is wrong. End of story. Don't worry, there are plenty of wrongs to go around these days. I do not approve of, or endorse any of the "wrong" actions I have just mentioned. I'm also not going to lose a whole lot of sleep over a bunch of mass marketed hype losing a nickle to the very hype they created. Sadly, I doub't he will either.

An entire world of outstanding magic in the public domain, these people are steeling hyped up material, and in the end, it isn't even the effects that are important. That's why they call them "children".

Jack/Drew... all we seem to have is hype pushed reshashes on the mass market of magic. Shiny wrappers and bright colors etc. How many "Tommy Wonder presents..." type items have appeared in the last twenty years?

I don't know, I truely do not pay any attention to them. Honestly, I haven't bought anything "magic" in years. When I do buy something, it is usualy pretty old and in litterature form.
