Yes- you are right- you should not just download stuff willy nilly off of the internet and install it on your computer - that is a very bad idea, and you are right to be cautious. However, I can guarantee that Media Player Classic is virus-free, especially when you download it from sourceforge, where it is being developed - they are good at checking out to make sure that all of the stuff that is distributed is virus free. SourceForge is a very cool idea- it is a collaborative software development management system. It is a centralized location for software developers to control and manage open source software development, and acts as a source code repository (currently there are over 114,000 projects under development), so you can even download the source code and look at it to see that there is no malicious code, if one is so inclined, and you can't say the same for microsoft

"marvello=(orig) to wonder, (later) marvellous, outstanding, wonderful, extraordinary, a miracle."
:wow: Also, Harry Marvello (1879-1967) was a Scotland-born magician (real name Harry Hutchinson) who began his career as apprentice to Ludwig Dobler. He soon became a popular society entertainer, performing for Queen Victoria, before becoming first a variety performer, then an illusionist, and finally a card manipulator before retiring from magic to become a journalist. Dan, I have a CD copy of Cyberlink Power DVD for Windows that came with my computer and I've never loaded. I use a more intensive program for viewing and editing videos. I would be pleased to send you the original CD. The program includes a great screen capture mode that will allow you to capture those stills from DVD's. Just say the word.
Thank you immensely for taking the time and energy to share with us here. Would you consider allowing me to interview you for an edition of the KIDabra Journal? Best wishes for killer success! Skip

I suspect that I could put together an entire article from all the generous material you've provided here! I'll shoot something to you through your website email. Answer at your convenience. Once I get the article together I'll shoot it to you for your approval before submitting it to KIDabra. I especially want to use your quote about finding your magic and performance character from within. I hope to convince the KIDabra staff to pull you in as a conference lecturer in the near future! Thanks...you're an inspiration!
