Hi,

I just saw the marked deck only can be seen with special contact lense we have to wear. I think this is great idea...
Please comment if anybody know it.

Cheers,

Been around for quite some time. Neat idea, I guess.

This idea has largely been surpassed with other marking systems which don't require any lenses to see.

What I can tell you is that a contact lens system is in my 1961 KC Card Co Blue Book as "New Improved Triple Curve Contact Lenses" for $160.00 dollars!

But with the advent of "juice" and "daub" and some other derivitaves of them both (juice dust) anything which requires additional "stuff" (like lenses) is pretty much considered old school, although I'm sure somebody, somewhere is still using it.

Wow $160 for luminous contacts in 1961 ... bet the price went up in 45 years Smile But, the technology has also improved in 45 years...better solutions, etc.

Today, contact lenses may used to read either Luminous or Ultra-Luminous (aka. Black Panther) marked cards. Both are similar technologies but each works using sleightly different frequencies. I personally prefer filtered sunglasses....in addition, the old style contact lenses and old style sunglasses were so dark that you would walk into walls Smile ... in addition, they would give you a headache if you wore then for a while due to the odd color.

I don't want to post information on contact lenses because contact lenses are considered medical devices and you need a perscription to legally get them in the USA. Yes, I know you can buy contacts over the net....But, to avoid eye damage the contact lenses need to be fitted to your eyes...only then can they be made into a filter to read luminous or Ultra-Luminous markings.

I agree that Juice is a less expensive way to go even though you will have to practice a bit to read Juice.....and Juice can be just as deceptive as Luminous technology without the need for sunglasses or contact lenses.

PM me for more info which I am not willing to discuss publically.
