Hello:
I know there are a few threads on this, but I'd like to know how well they hold up in daily use. Has anyone used these regularly? Do the clay chips hold up nearly as well as the gaffed coins for C/S/B? I've been wanting to get this, but have been curious about their durability. Also, I understand that the edges of the chips are black so there are no discrepenies if spectators view the chips from the sides - is that right? Thanks for any help. Ron |

Mine are fine and I bought a first set when they wre very first released. I use them a lot, and find them to last as long as any coin gimmicks

I had one set come back. A guy's DOG chewed on one of them. After the very first run where a few buckled, we have had no complaints or reported problems.

Thank you Christopher and Pete for your responses. It seems like I read somewhere that the edges of the poker chips are black, so there are no discrepencies when spectators look at the chips from the side. Is that true?

Yes that's true, that's one of the strengths to the routine in poker chips that you don't get with the coins

I just purchased a set and am well on my way to learning the included routine. In my professional opinion, this was money well spent and what I received is well worth every cent. The effect is very easy to do and appears to lay audiences like a close-up miracle. I loved this so much that I am currently in the process of obtaining another set as backup from a seller here at the Café for a very good price who would rather see the set in the hands of a performer of the effect instead of a drawer. Many thanks to Porper and Biro.

Glad you find the effect to your liking. I still have the same "early" set and it is still "like new." You just don't jump up and down on them. Handle them like you care for them.

If taken care of, there is no reason why they shouldn't last a lifetime. The only maintenance I could possibly see is touching up the edges of the chips with a permanent black marker. I've been playing with the set for the last 5 days straight, carrying them in their protective pouch in my left pocket and taking them out to perform every chance that I get. I'm like that when I take an extreme liking to something new.

The routine is basically a Two Copper One Silver routine, but looks great if it's your style. I love them. It's the only real gaffed coin-type of set that I carry around.
Yes, that is my real name. Yes, I am a real person. No, you probably won't agree with me.

Honestly, this comes highly recommended from an unbiased reviewer. Perhaps, the most original and practical modern rendition of a classic that I have seen to date. You have to see and handle a set to believe it. The chip transposition from one hand to the other looks like real magic. One of the most frequently performed effects in my repertoire.

Hello,
Just received mine today, and what can I say, but wow! I think it's great. Workmanship-Top notch. Routine-Dynamite. If any coin magic guy want's to spice up his repertoire and deviate from doing 5 coin routines in a row,to, no doubt, a bored audience, then this is the ticket. Hat's off to Joe, Pete and rmendez above for the recommendations. Think I'm going to have to put away all my C/S/B routines. This one rocks. Jim |

Just received a set. Great trick. A change from doing coin tricks.
I'm putting it in my walkaround set. |

My set is beautifully made. What I don't like is that my chip denominations go from $1.00 to $10.00 to $500.00.
It's just not realistic that I would be carrying around a $500.00 chip. I wish it were either a $25.00 or maybe $100.00 chip. The other thing I don't like (though probably being a bit picky here) is that the style and logo on the $1.00 chip is different that the style and logos on the other two. I mean WAY different. The construction of the set is very nice, but I prefer using a CSB set because my chips just don't look authentic. Sammy

Haven't seen this for a long time, but didn't the edges used to be painted black? That was a turnoff for me.
