Scott, that is a nice elaborate routine. I believe this is the E. J. Moore's 'Instanto Rope Trick' or as Pat Page called it 'Everlasting Rope Trick'. Abbott's still has or makes it, it is listed in their catalog.

Contact Greg Bordner, I am sure they can provide. Your rope looks very thick, if that is what you were referring to, I am sure there is a replacement available that will work.

I am sure you could have gone on to the Rice's Dis-solvo trick where a silk penetrates the rope.

Just watched your cloth box routine from a few years ago. Your hair is healthier now, too. Likie the "come together" music for the restoration of the rope.

Very clever routine! Lol... don't care about the ropes, I just want to know where you get a knife that is that sharp!

I'm getting asked a lot about the routine since the video went up. Unfortunately the stage sized rope we used to make the effect is no longer available...so we are sold out completely
Working on getting Slashed produced again in a more economical smaller rope...we'll see how it goes.

Hey Scott thanks so much for the update. I was a student of George Sands in Phoenix, Az. I also preferred his Rope-Sational as Harry Murphy mentions in a previous post and review.

Since we are talking Mr. Sands, Here is a brief story. I was fortunate to have driven George Sands to the I.B.M. Ring Meetings in Phoenix back in the mid 90's. He enjoyed mentalism more than anything else. He would light up when someone would work the ropes and never commented one way or another, just raised his index finger as if wanting to suggest something and then relent. I remember Danny Archer in Scottsdale at a S.A..M. Lecture of his, once looking over to George and saying "George, you're still alive?" Kind of insensitive I felt. George seemed embarrased. I miss Mr. Sands, He always looked more the part of the Magician with his white goatee and full bushy pointed white eyebrows.

I have since added a few new touches to Slashed that make it even better. Looking forward to re-releasing it when BK and I can get it to a point that is affordable to all but still up to our stringent specifications.
