Has anyone made their own magic coloring books. Where can the instructions and hopefully templates be bought to make the tri-way mcb. I found and purchased the ones from magicnook but it is only for the two way. Or does anyone know where to purchase 8 1/2 by 11 blank books that have cardstock paper as this would be excellent to make your own mcb's. Feedback please!

Dennisspeaks,
They are not that expensive. Why not just purchase them and keep the creator in the business of creating new effects? Until we appear again, Kipp Sherry |

Hi Kipp,
Price is not the issue. I've got 4 mcb's all different of course. I want to customize a magic coloring book to go with different topics more adult related. That is my outcome. It never ceases to amaze me when you set a goal and whoop there it is. My 4th store looking for blank books turned up a hit! Even better than that while flipping through it I came up with the way to creat my own magic coloring book customized to subject area and leaved the customer with a autographed dummy for less than a dollar a book. Of course it will have a short bio, photo, company and contract info on the back. All I have to figure out is a template for trimming the pages. I was going to tear apart one of my current color books but it is a 6 way uday Fantacy Island CB. If no one has the trimming info I'll just buy another 3 way and tear it a part in order to make a master template with pagemaker. It may seem like a lot of work but once done it will be easy to print the dummy books on demand with the client's name in it to leave behind. Additional ideas welcomed... UPDATE: I guess it wasn't as much work as I thought, the first one I made came out perfectly, now I've just got to find more sketch clipart to go with the themes Dennis |

I'd be interested in obtaining those templates. I too have the colouring book, and would like to create a more adult oriented one....maybe with drinks or something. I find that the circus theme to be too kiddy for some of my shows.

I hear what you are saying RabbitInDaHat, exactly why I wanted to make my own, other than being personalized. I never did find anyone with a template so I just guessed, first one worked perfectly, second one I had to retrim several pages to get it wo work. I've tailored my second one to use as a sales tool to sell my products. AWESOME!

Although not exactly a template, Mark Wilson's book contains the instructions for making the books with some measurements you can use.

It's in Scot's Discoverie of Witchcraft. Use a straightedge and an Xacto knife to do what you need to do. Think of manila folders.
