I've had a lot of fun with a very simple impromptu effect that can be done with a borrowed bill. I learned it from Cyril Takayama, who can be seen performing it here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=L-XTWAvKojo

The only Levitation effect I have learned is an impromptu floating ring (borrowed). I don't know whose it is as I learned it from the magic shop I bought the .... gimmick from.

I was recently given some IT loops and have no idea what to do with them. Can anyone recommend resources?

If not, then hopefully there is a magic club (IBM or SAM if you are in the US.) go to the club and ask for advice. Since you have only 6 posts and virtually no information in your profile we can't judge your skill, so it is really hard to offer you some comments.

Just another thought, I own the spider pen and do like it very much but the best ITR is probably the I.T.R. Micro - Sorcery - Kevlar. Although there is an improved version of the micro that I'm not familiar with yet.

Rick 727 and Pete,
Thanks for responding to my question about IT loops. Sorry I didn't give any skill info. I've been involved in magic since the mid 70s, doing shows during my high school and college years, now mainly closeup. I've never done IT work (although I'm familiar with the tool), but I'm clueless about loops. And the person who gave me the loops did so because he didn't know what to do with them either. Any resources you can recommend regardless of skill level would be appreciated. Pete, one of my all-time favorite Genii columns was your "Reel Works" column! Dennis |

Dennis,
Ellusionist has a 3 volume set of DVDs on Loops http://www.ellusionist.com/product/dvd+t......oops.do . The DVDs feature Danny Garcia, Justin Miller, and Nathan Kranzo. It is kind of overkill, but will give you LOTS of great ideas. I can't say one is better than the other because they are all three good. The 3 disc set is $50. I am not a fan of Ellusionist, but I am a fan of Danny Garcia, Nathan Kranzo, and Justin Miller. I know Danny personally from the local club, and I have met Nathan Kranzo when he visited Houston. I have never met Justin Miller, but he seems like a good guy based on the video. If you are trying to figure out what to do with loops then this will be a great way to go. Good luck, -Rick

What mistake sure I'm dyslectic but the efect is that the bill floats in the air and then sold itself into quaters as it is floating before returning to the hand
