Oh look it's a UScentric post. I'd guess that as many europeans as US citizens post on this particular forum and our national juggling convention is in April (Nottingham next year, see http://www.jugglingdb.com for details of this and loads more conventions).
Nigel The IJA is as International as the World series includes the world.

Us Americans think that civilization ends at our borders. I however understand that there is a whole world of diversity out there. I enjoyed the world cup, I eat fish and chips, I love French kisses, Belgian waffels, Swiss cheese, and I take my time and read page 3 of the Sun every day. I would love to visit your country one day, but first I want to know. Do all young girls in England walk around top less? HAVE FUN Al Angello

Point taken. The US festival is next week. For those outside the colonies, google the European juggling festival* or the British juggling convention.

Hola amigos
The IJA is an international organization, we have members all over the world. If you have ever attended a convention you would know that people from everywhere attend. How about the French, the Mexican, or the Cuban former IJA champions. There is a large contingency of Japanese, Canadians, English, Dutch, Swede, Australian, and German IJA members that attend every year. Our motto is to "SHARE THE ART" not to exclude forigners. There is no green card required to be welcome. Nigel I would like to apologize for those who think the USA is the center of the universe, and if you get the chance to attend an IJA festival you will see the international brotherhood for yourself. Al,
I can guarantee that you go to any beach in Britain in the summer you will see topless girls. Admittedly most, if not all, will be aged 3 or less but there you go. Occasionally you get lucky, but you'ld get more eye candy in Spain or anywhere else where young Brits go on holiday. Nigel I once went to the Museum of American History in Washington DC. After seeing the display of first ladies dresses I left hurriedly.

Are all British women as abundantly bless like the girls on page 3 of the Sun are? BTW I just got a 2006 MINI cooper convertible, which is German engineering, from an Oxford England assembly plant. As Rosanne Barr once said "it is never too late to have a happy childhood" HAVE FUN Al Angello

I so want to go to Portland again, hit Powells bookstore, the gothic/industrial/punk record shop nearby, all the zine, and independent book shops, and a darn good place to get some pizza all in the vicinity.
(that and it's going to be 100 degrees plus here, I gotta get out of the midwest) |

Hey StiltBoy
Portland does have beautiful weather, and I'm getting a craving for some of that zine too. What is zine is it an illegal substance, a new designer drug, or did you just misspell wine? Whatever it is I want some. HAVE FUN Al Angello

Zine is a slang term for magazine, as in self published independent magazines. My wife has wrote quite a few different zines and it's kind of a neat thing.
And yes you can't forget the nice weather out in Portland. |
