Hi,

As I was looking for the act "Professor and the Robot" and Black Art (in this context), I found this Café! Very nice.

I was Gooogling because I wanted to know who the originator of the act was, and asking here gave all the answers I need... It's not a "public domain" act... I'm a member of a small theatre/entertaining party and suggested we should perform it in November at our anniversary... We won't...

At first I only planned to ask that single question but as I have some small amateurish magic background, I have been reading a lot here out of curiosity and I like it more and more. And As I probably will post more, I thought I'd also post here. As an example of my magic background I once (back in the 90's) helped a magician-friend of mine to make the bill-change into bill-to-coins-change (a holder for the coins and a slot under the "nail") and some other things. I've learnt a lot during the years and is able to follow most of the conversations here...

It was also back then I got interested in BlackArt (the May -97 Magic Magazine) and I suggested this to be included in the act - to add some things not possible otherwise... I have found lots of info here about it - this place is a horn-of-plenty! (Some books will be bought soon...) I'm also reading the "Grand Illusions" section with lots of interest - there's a lot of inspiration there for various things one can do using BA... Smile

Anyway, I've now completely re-written the act and have suggested the new one to the rest of the party. One could say it is now only "loosely based" on Mac Ronay's original idea. I will post it soon, in the "Double Dare You" section for review and question of originality...

Until then,

Best regards,

It's times like this I wish I'd listened to what my Grandad used to say...
