Did David Stone's Tablehopping DVD (the one with the comedy trailer) ever get released?

I can't see it anywhere...was the trailer just a joke? It was funny.

I think you talking about the short film he entered (and won) at the AOI Film Fest. Which was awesome BTW. Wasn't it only for the Film Fest not an upcoming DVD?

I believe the DVD has been scheduled to release around Christmas for the past two years (first X-mas '04, then '05). I believe some of the footage was just used for the AOI competition.

He mentioned it again in an interview in November '05: http://www.leeasher.com/david_stone.htm

The book he talks about has been released in French, but it still hasn't been translated. Shame...

If it's David Stone, it's got to be great!

Can you tell us what the "19 routines" are, and how much detail he goes into discussing working tables?

Thanks

Would anyone who has Stone's DVD like to do a detailed review of it? The website doesn't list the contents in any detail.

I don't read French, and the translation on that site is pretty bad, but this is what I could make out. (Perhaps Arthur can correct me if I'm wrong anywhere):

The DVD includes the short film David won the AOI film festival with. (in the Bonus section)

The DVD is set in a restaurant and David performs from table to table. The effects are visual, simple to preapare, and easy to reset.

The effects are:

1. Rose production
2. Ghost. Vanishing deck effect.
3. Three Card Monte
4. Called Hierling. Don't know what it means. But Thomas Hierling did no card marix (?)
5. ATM. Production of a banknote from a torn napkin.
6. Flash Card. Card production of selected card from a shuffled deck.
7. Glass Corner. Routine with a glass. Don't understand the translation.
8. Travellers. Four Kings travel magically from magician's hand to the table.
9. Deck Flash. Flash production of a deck of cards.
10. Snowball. An Ace cutting routine performed while searching for a chosen card.
11. One Corner Routine. Very visual routine using one corner (of what??)
12. Hallucination. Rope routine based on Hoffman's with a final shocker.
13. Watch Out. No idea what the translation means. A watch stealing effect?
14. Crossed. Don't understand the translation. ("turning of the crossed hands"?)
15. Cig Clean.Visual and surprising handling of a cigarette.
16. Cards. No description.
17. Veil Rouge. Transposition of two cards.
18. Sponge. Sponge ball routine.
19. Napkin. T&R Napkin.
20. Bite Me. Bottle of wine production.

One of the last times David was in the United States he crashed at my place and he had shared with me some of the material that will be on the DVDs. All I have to say is that these effects are "real world workers". The information that he'll be sharing is GOLD. He has put his everything into this project, don't pass this up!
