It will not look good after one good night of sleep but still ok. I did go through two showers with it and it was fine. You get two sets of everything except for the full card Bruise which they only supply you with one. I'm going to go buy two more refill packs.

This seems more confusing then it really is so I will try to simplify what we have here:
The spoilers came with 2 of everything except one of the large 5 but those are no longer available The DVD comes with 3 of each card (5 different cards for a total of 15 cards or over 60 bruises. The bruises last on average 2 or 3 days but can last up to a week depending on the person (another big factor is where you put it and how well you scrub the area you put it before you apply them) Refills come with 8 cards and the cards are slightly different then the others - a few new designs! Hope that helps! B

I really like this idea... I love this kind of effects... That's why I love Third Degree Burn and Stigmata.

I heard that the January Genii will have a sample bruise or two (great marketing idea, by the way). I missed out on the spoiler kit so I'm looking forward to finally getting the chance to check this out.

Is their a card with a corner mssing, and if so, how do you get the matching corner, do you just use a template or is it matched to an intercessor.

Walsall,
No you do not get a missing corner card. You can s****h a torn corner that will match the Burn tatoo.(that you prepare)

The corner missing is the winning idea from our spoiler contest! That and some of the other top ideas are on the DVD. but davidpaul$ is right you make the corner missing bruise yourself. (Simply take the full card and rip of the corner before you apply the bruise.) as far as matching the corners well because one card is on your skin it doesn't have to be a perfect match. just use the corner left from the bruise and tear yourself a look alike with a matching card.
hope that helps! B

I got mine in the mail, and have to say, this is the one and only effect to bring me out of the dumps after my wife died. After she passed away, all magic suddenly became INSIPID at best to me. I could have cared less if I learned any new magic. The passion had departed with her loving spirit.
I bought bruised out of curiosity...a mere amusement, thinking I'd look at it, and probably then throw it in the drawer. But after watching the DVD and seeing the quality of the product and the limitless possibilities, I believe I am back in the game. (At least I am getting my toes wet again.) GREAT product!

Only thing I wonder about is where to order the refill packets. I didn't see the information in the instructions or on the DVD. Anybody know?
Daniel, you got a great product here...best part? It's a consumable! (not in the sense of actually eating it!) But I'm saying that once someone gets hooked, they use it up and have to order more, then you get those residuals going for you. Very lucrative! I have some packet tricks I'm staring to market, but if I could invent a "comsumable" effect, then it would surely be money in the bank! Good job, my man! Can't wait to see what you come up with next.

I do have a question for Daniel. The first time I performed it, the response was "Wow! That's great tatoo!"
Ummmm, I don't think they are supposed to react that with that word. It's supposed to be a BRUISE!! If they say the "t" word, I wonder what may have went wrong. Daniel, have you ran into that reaction? If so, what were your thoughts, and how did you handle it? I'm pretty surprised, because to my eyes it looks exactly like what it is supposed to be.

Hello,
Glad to see all of you enjoying BRUISED, I have had so much success performing this over the years and with Creative Magic's help I am glad to see brought to the market. Daffy Doug, I really believe in using your talents to help others and inspire, and the fact that you feel that BRUISED has helped you rekindle your fire for magic is great! I hope you keep at it, and use it to bring joy and passion to others. It's about giving back! I have never had anyone question the "tattoo" thing of it. I really do think most of the value with this effect comes with presentation. If you can really sell yourself, your magic will be believable. This obviously takes practice, what I would recommend would be perform BRUISED as a second or third effect. With your first effect really do something that would demonstrate your skill, this way when you present BRUISED, the audience will think it's less of a gimmick. Also making sure you have a solid routine also helps, if you just have someone pick a card and show a bruise, well, that's not to magical. Everyone performs it differently, so find a routine and write some patter that really fits you. Also these are the same type of bruises that were used in the movies "Pearl Harbor" and "The Passion of the Christ", believability was very important to Creative Magic and myself, so these are the closest to the real thing as you can get! As far as the idea, the consumable part just happened, and was the best way to share the effect and allow performers to have a practical way of performing it. The value lies in what you do with an effect, that's why Creative Magic made it very affordable so performers could use this again and again. This packs a huge punch and is cheaper than flash paper, and it last days, not 2 seconds! The best part is there will be new bruises being released, so you can always keep it fresh and new! Contact Creative Magic and you favorite dealer for your refill needs, as they can get you what you need! Feel free to ask any other questions, and I hope you continue to enjoy! -Daniel Martin |
