Good point Jim. I admit I haven't thought of that till now. So do you outright *say* what you can and can't do at the start, or do you let your effects and patter do that for you? Just asking, if you think I should find this out for myself, I'll understand. Thanks...

By the way, Geller claims to do more than just PK.

He presents design duplications, predictions, demonstrates clairvoyance, teleportations and has claimed to have done psychic healings.

Geller is also rich from being a psychic. Very rich. Many people do not know how he did it...I'll just tell you this, it wasn't from readings, contacting the dead or anything like that.

The Wizards' Journal # 5 (Lotto) has an answer for that question - here is an excerpt:

"The answer to these inquiring minds is: "Of course I can predict the winner of the lottery. But we Wizards (Mentalists) have a code of ethics about it. We never win enough to arouse suspicion, or else we'd be 'killing the goose that lays the golden eggs.' Think about it. If I entered every big lottery and won the multi-million dollar prize in every state, everyone would soon know that I can do it and will always win, and the lotteries would close down. Not to mention, there'd be a lot of hit men out after my secret. But if I win small, I never get into the papers, no one knows about my psychic powers and I can live just as comfortably as the richest multi-millionaire. Do I look like I dress shabby?"

"But you want proof. I can see you're a skeptic and won't just take my word for it. How about if I make YOU the big winner for a little lottery right here and now? Would that make a believer out of you?"

Of course, the effect follows this in which the spectator wins a "scratch-off game card" game of Lotto.

Jim I did ask you a number of times why you are not the most famous person alive and why you are not filthy rich. Granted I was speaking to "Jack", but that was still you. You never responded, but that does not mean it was not asked.

ChiChi and to the question asked. There are promises one makes that one does not have to talk about in public. The Real McCoys are the fragile ones in this field and they do the best they can. Jung simply said where there is power, there is no love and where there is love, there is no power.

Of course, Jim/Jack did bring up a good question - how did this speak or sitter end up with you in the first place? Spec control and selection skills might help defeat this......

Answer one: "Why are you wasting your time asking questions about me? What is your purpose for coming here? To prove I am not a psychic? Like all things, if you do not want to step outside your seemingly safe, secure little world of false stock scientific explanations - we can now stop. I am sad you do not wish to experience something special - peace be with you" [give back money if an actual sitting or just leave if you are a stroller]

Answer two: "How do you mean rich? [wait for answer].... so, that is what you think makes one rich?... (pump pump pump and fry..or go to #1 above)

Answer three: "How do you come to the conclusion I am not rich? [wait for answer]... see answer two above....

I.e. don't answer direct - what sorta psychic cold reader answers direct?!?!

I just tell the truth.

What we call psychic phenomena is for the most part, unprofitable. If I can cause things to move with my mind, people might pay to see this as a novelty, but it is not a talent that can earn me lots of money, most people can move an object with their hand. As for hands, if I can read a palm and tell someone about herself, it is not going to make me rich. I could possibly make some money in the casino, but this would be cheating, I would essentially be stealing, and my remains might be found in the desert.

Yes, I do occasionally have future memories, but these happen very infrequently and are of a very short duration, so there is no way to profit financially from these.

What I've found is that using my gifts to help people is the best use, and occasionally I can demonstrate these same gifts for those who have an interest in such things, much like a musician or a juggler exhibiting their talents. And like other performance artists, I may be paid for this.

Isso I was simply pointing out that the question had been asked to Jim. I really didn't care at the time if he responded or not. I still don't care.

I once saw in a book the idea that everyone listens to the same radio station. The call letters are WII-FM. What's in it for me....

Psychic powers, and anything else, will produce money to the extent that it answers that question. In the psychic field it is readings for the most part...there is much in it for the client.

No one will get rich bending spoons...Geller got publicity that way but that's not how he made the big bucks.

So, when looking at marketing/making money with magic or anything else remember that all clients listen to WII-FM. That will tell you how much money there is to be made there.

Chi,

Jack was and is the best at what he did.
And is very well known in his reality.
He lives as he wants and has all he will and would ever need.

I would think that would be apparant to you by this point in time.

Or possibly you still do not understand Jack.

Best Wishes,

Jim

Maddened,

I do a bit of both.
My experiments and demonstrations are very well defined and because of that it never occurs to people to ask the question put forth in this thread.

If you take a look at my page http://jimclass.com/ChalrlestonShows.htm for my recent show in Charleston you will note I have specific presentations outlined.

I can in disscuss at length any one of them I have a complete back story for each.
In fact the presentation with the late Raymond Hill is the reason for a full page story in the entertainment section of the Charleston Post and Courier this Sunday.

But as of yet I have had no one request I put them in touch with a loved one that has passed over because I make it clear during the presentation that this is a very special case and that it is the similarity in Rays and my own life experiences that enabled me to make contact with him.

I hope this makes sense but you must create the limits during your presentation. I have said this many times that a performer must define their unique super powers.

All artists do in some way. Painters, Writers, Singers, Dancers, No one asks a ballet dancer to do a hip hop number after her performance.

Hope this helps.

Nice open/page Jim. Nice state also. I've been through Charleston and didn't know they had performing theatres like that, well done.

Candini, I was surprised about the venue also.

This is the poster for the show http://jimclass.com/Poster.htm

They project it on the side of the building two storys above one of the main streets in the evening.
The image is about 16 feet by 8 I think.
(Made me laugh the first time I saw it. Just did not expect it.)

From what I understand a group of magicians are to attend the early show this evening.

We will see if some wise guy asks the question put forth on this thread just to yank my chain.

Surprising how many guys read this board but do not post.

Jim
