Never criticize someone else until you have walked a mile in their shoes. Then, when you do criticize them, you will be a mile away from them and you will have their shoes.

Howard Thurston...apparently Thurston had made his own radio device rigged to a glass of water and with this device he believed he was hearing voices from the beyond...or from "another planet."

I would like to ask him...What was up with that?

I can't pick just one and maybe selfish but I miss my mentors..Horace Marshall and Harry Blackstone Jr..

I would love to have the chance to pick the brain of Rudy Schlosser.

Bottom line is take the time to talk to the ones that are here now while you can. I cherish the times I did.

Ditto. Ted Annemann was a genius well ahead of his time. However many of his effects live on..

Honestly, I would like to talk with Houdini. Sounds like saying I want to Santa. But I would like to get inside his mind and have a cup of java with the man.
I would also love to talk with Dai, Jimmy G., Doug again. Especially Doug. I miss him and his unique insights on life.
Wonder is very necessary in life. When we're little kids, we're filled with wonder for the world - it's fascinating and miraculous. A lot of people lose that. They become cynical and jaded, especially in modern day society. Magic renews that wonder.

I'd love to have a sit down with Erdnase.

Dai and Doug would also be at the top of my list.

Ooh, Silverking, I would also like to be at the table when you chat with Erdnase. Maybe just to watch in amazement.

So many great magicians. Personally, the 3 top magicians of my list are, Vernon, Bertram, and Daley.

So many, but if only one, then Uncle Harry (Blackstone, Sr.) what time I got to spend with him was too short and I was far too young to understand and appreciate what he could offer to me as a magician and a performer.

I forgot to mention. Fred Kaps. I have the DVD, Seeing is Believing and am totally enamored with his act. I see why he was a superstar at FISM...

This thread is dying and that is a shame. There are so many greats that would be the pinnacle of my life to talk to. For me Thurston and Blackstone Sr.,Doug Henning and so many more that it would take me all night to type them in. Just so much history and stories that could be told by these greats. In 20 or more years from now who are we going to wish to talk to?
