Hey guys,
Today I was watching thorugh some old DVDs and I rana cross the MInd mysteries set( I also have the new ones but I mean the old ones [1,2,3,4]). I had used radar deck, bank night, nailwriter and ofcourse the breakthrough card system from it but I never used the rest. I hit my head for that now. This series of DVD contains some of the finest Gems I ever ran across. I made most of the things myself now and ive mastered the centertear and Watch routine today. My family freaked out when I performed it. A hint but all of you might now it already. don't overlook this DVD set or even an effect from it. It is 1 of the finest DVD collections I have ever bought and I hit myself for my head now that I never used much from it. Just my 2 cents Magical greets |

Michiel,
You're right! I have been awya from magic for a while and just getting back to looking at all my old stuff. There are a lot of items that I either gave up on because of the complexity or simply overlooked. I have the DVD set you mentioned and there are quite a few gems thoughout. Some of my old Kaufman books are like that as well. |

This is a great mentalism DVD series to have. I think the latest additions to the series (Mind Mysteries 5-6-7) were a little weaker than the first four volumes.
Don't get me wrong, theres some gems on volume 4-5-6, but I think volumes 1-2-3-4 contained a lot more gems. Am I the only one who thinks that? If you compare the first 4 volumes to the last 3 volumes, wich one was superior in your opinion? Danik |

I have just ordered them a few days back.
can't wait for them to arrive. I have read tons of reviews regarding the Mind Mysteries Series and a lot of people seem to share Danik's oppinion.they all say that the first 4 volumes contain much better material. I have ordered the whole series so I guess after watching them I'll let you guys know what I think. all the best -Matt

I'm currently relearning all the material from Mind Mysteries. I decided to concentrate on card magic for the last few months and one thing I realised quite quickly is that card tricks are great fun, the audience likes them, but they know it's a trick and are rarely amazed. They see a deck of cards, you tell them to pick one and shuffle it back into the deck. The still have a good idea that you'll be able to find it again but the pleasure comes in not knowing how you do it.
But do a mentalism effect, be it a mental card trick or something else, and the audience start to believe in real magic. They can't even contemplate how you do it. They give you that weird look like maybe you might actually have special powers! It's this reason alone that I'm beginning with Mind Mysteries 1 and learning every effect on the first 4 volumes. I often do the Watch Routine, I love it. It's fantastic and even gets requested by my friends. I'm hoping to incorporate that into a routine of maybe 6 effects. That way even if I leave the cards at home and still perform. Mentalism is quickly becoming my favourite genre of magic to perform.
"But where did the lighter fluid come from?"

I also thought the effects from new DVDs where a little bit weaker. I use the ESP routine and it is great. It is such a clean trick
