I am looking for some ideas on how to say thank you to a Magician who has been very kind to me over the past years. He's given me physical objects as well as helped me with routines, mechanics, and ideas. Please give me any suggestions and ideas that you have. Thanks.

Well, you know him best.
I find giving a magical gift is not always the best gift for a magician unless you know they are not buying it and that they wouldn't mind it. I would get a gift certificate for a dinner and a movie. You can never go wrong with that. Take him to another magic show in your area. Your treat. Often just a magical token/statuette/knick knack (sp?) with a thank-you card is a nice touch. |

Acknowledge his contributions in a show program or during one of your shows.

Thanks for the above suggestions, I will most certainly use them. However I feel that I need to do something bigger...more. He's been so kind and generous to me.

Write him an E-mail telling him how you feel.

Do understand, that helping others is often award enough and no thanks is needed. The best thanks you can give your teachers (in all forms from friends, to parents, to professionals) is to do your best in succeeding and achieving your goals and dreams. Acknowledgement as Tim said is a good way to go. |

The only stupid question is the one not asked.
